Fuel Door

I got the push-button console door on my TG and had it on my '05 RG. Of course, you will need those keys for trunk and tourpak. In the past I've had success by taking a wire brush to the end of the keys. Seems to help.

:Agree: One of the 1st things I do is get rid of the key lock for the fuel door and replace it with the button.

I have used a small shot of PB Blaster that we sell at Home Depot. Stuff is amazing and frees up all those sticky gremlins! I use Tri Flow on my bicycle and it is also great.

I got the push button for fuel door but put it in my lower fairing door instead. I do'nt mind getting the key out for the fuel door when stopped but if your at a light and want to get into the lower fairing pocket for the tootsie roll pops its a pain. Now I just hit the button reach in get my tootsie roll pop and shut the door, love it. Oh, never had a problem with fuel door.

The HD button isn't a cure all either. I had one on mine and one day I pushed it and it would not open. Luckily I was close to home and managed to make it home. Took a lot of work to get the door open without ruining to many pieces. After I got the button mechanism out the plastic locking finger was stuck forward. It would not budge no matter what I did. Figured it was ruined so I drilled out the pin that holds the thing together. Even after getting all the guts out, I could not get the plastic plunger to budge. Put the stock keyed lock back in and it has been working OK so far.
