I got a Motor Trike kit on my Valk last year...haven't ridden nearly as much as I would have liked since then, but I see the recommendation is for checks on all the 'trike stuff' at 500 and 1000 miles etc.....is this just legal butt-covering, or is it really necessary to check all the trike bolts etc so early? I've had zero issues, but I would hate to have it fall apart under me at 80 mph

As parts wear in or seat,it is very possible that fasteners will loosen up.Some will have thread locker on them but service parts such as wheels, brakes, calipers, etc will only have torque holding them on.I would grab my trusty torque wrench, shop manual, and take a day just checking everything out and doing any maintenance that needs taking care of.
