Does anyone know a good Harley mechanic versed in trikes who would install a set of rear lifts on a 2011 Tri? The local dealers don't want to consider this mod. I'm in the Charleston/ Huntington/ Ashland area of southern West Virginia. Thanks!

Just go here and download the install instructions. Anyone with a socket set and a jack can do it in under 30 minutes. Don't really need a Trike "expert" just need someone with knows how to operate a ratchet. If a local Harley dealer won't do it, take it to any shop that works on Harleys. Heck a Jeep shop that installs lifts on a Jeep would find this super simple.

Hey neighbor!! I was in Winfield today on my trike. Rode from Ripley to Kenna and took 34 across to Winfield. Rode 35 from there and picked up a little country road over to RT2 and down to Huntington. Crossed the river to Chesapeake and back up the Ohio side to home. Back on topic......Baxters HD in Gallipolis will do the work for you. He's about three miles off RT 35 on RT 160 West in Bidwell, Ohio. Probably about 45 minutes from you. Shoot me a PM if you need better directions or the phone number.

Thanks Greydog! I went to Baxters over 7/4 weekend and he was closed. BTW, will these void the HD warranty? Rt. 34 is a good test of your steering!:AGGHH:

I don't know for sure about the warranty but, from what I've read here regarding the lift, I can't see why it would be an issue. Give Ben a call and talk with him about it....he's a great guy and has top shelf mechanics. If you want, PM me and I'll meet you in Point Pleasant and ride over with you.

Yep.....RT34 will give your arms a workout on a trike!!! It's another of the Mountain State's well kept secrets. Every bit as fun as the Dragon without all the traffic!! RT119 from Spencer to Clendenin is another REALLY twisty ride but the road isn't maintained as well as 34 and is a bit more narrow.

We have a little group of friends that meet almost every Sunday during riding season at the Mountaineer Inn on RT 21 in Sandyville. We generally ride 150 -200 miles. Went down to the New River Gorge on one trip and rode down the gorge under the bridge. Rode over to Weston and visited a winery on another trip. That one cost me a lot of money....came home and ordered $350.00 worth of wine making equipment to make my own!!! You're welcome to join our little informal group and ride with us any time you'd like.

Thanks to all who have offered help! My wife and I are new to trikes (hmm, I guess I rode my first one about 55 years ago) and are enjoying the comraderie almost as much as riding! I am going to purse the lift kit in the near future hopefully- my job has a large amount of overtime this time of year, and its hard to make plans. Looking forward to the future. :Flag:
