Dual Headers with NO Cats..
Screamin' Eagle Super Tuner..
Ness Big Sucker..
SE 255 Cam Kit..
Tapered Lifters..
All adapters and kits for T-Glide
Parts...$2,800 with 15% discount promotion
Labor....$450.00 with 15% discount promotion..
Also removed worthless emergency brake...
Took care of brake valve recall...

Has a really deep rumble sound...Lookin' forward to a good break-in ride on Fri when it will be a little warmer. Took it out for an 1/2 hour and immediatly noticed way less heat on right side. New Lift kit.. new Mustang seat..All kinds of Chrome bling and functionality add-ons...Almost have it where I want it!!... Makes me smile!!!

Yeah it will be fun...!! Got a call this afternoon outta the blue from the tech that did the work.. wanted to know if I was happy with the way it runs...and to let him know if I am not and he will make it right...Did not expect that!... Will take for a good test tomorrow!....

That's what I am waiting for, report after a good ride on it. A call from tech would be like a doctor checking on you after your visit, better keep that tech, especially if it all goes well during your test out. If it does, maybe he needs a call back with the good news also, nothing like keeping a good person close!

WOW finally hear of a GOOD mechanic not a bad parts replacer. Congrats

They have been really good to work with so far I must say... Did not hesitate to install the lift kit and only charged me 1/2 hr. And they are supposed to be contacting Dennis to become a dealer for them...also had no problem yanking off the useless e-brake..charged me an hour for that.. He has been a HD mechanic for 32 years and I was told he won a bet by completely disassembling and reassembling a big twin while blindfolded. Dunno if that is true or not....I told him I would let him know how it runs good and bad. Will update all you guys here also. Headin' out for a 4 hour ride at noon tomorrow..

Just got back from a 3 hour ride with new mods. Noticed that the engine does not ping or knock anymore. I mean nothing. It has pinged and knocked from day one. Sounds smoother and more machine like now. It was 38 to 42 degrees while riding, but I could still tell a difference with the right side heat issue, and it definitely does run way cooler. Sure a lot faster!!..Wow!!!..Rode with a guy on his 2012 WideGlide with a 103 motor,, same as mine with no mods...He could not keep up with me...Even with half the weight as the TG...Smoked him from standing starts and in acceleration while moving. It is way louder than it was, but is not an obnoxious loud...more of a deep thump that I can actually feel vibrate in the floorboards. I am told it will get a little deeper after 300 to 400 miles as the mufflers burn in some more too. They still stink like something is cooking in them.
I am very happy with the changes at this point,,,My dealer does not have a dyno that a trike will fit on, so the tech has to put in a map from a two wheeler and dial it in as best he could. I think he nailed it pretty well, and I will get him a gift card to a nice steak house next week! { Yeah, I know,,!! Kiss his butt a little!! Ha ha!! }

Sounds like a nice ride. Mind is set up like yours with a bit more done to the engine. It runs like a scared rabbit. So I know how it feels. If I could only get mine back from the shop & get a half way warm day,I would ride down to see Dennis. Hopefully they warranty that cam if something goes wrong. Jim

I hope they do too Jim.. They should. What else have you done to your engine?..Just curious..And can give me more ideas!!..

Trent, this is what I've got in the motor. 259E cam,Screamin Eagle Super Tuner,10:5/1 high compression pistons, adjustable push rods, high performance clutch spring,Screamin Eagle ported & polished heads with high performance valve springs,Screamin Eagle High flow air cleaner kit. Had it dynoed at 100hp. That is before they found out the mechanic that built the motor put the second piston ring upside down. Took a trip to California this August & back. It used over 2qts. of oil. They fixed that problem. So I'm probably over 100hp now. They should re-do the dyno for free, but they won't. It sucks because it was their fault. Now it's in the shop because it dropped a lifter, which tore up my rear cam & the oil pump. They told me from the start that as long as I use Screamin Eagle parts it all would be warranteed. They told me HD wouldn't cover the cam. Boy was I pissed!!

I went to the dealership the next day & did some bitching!! Didn't think I got anywhere, but they called me on the way home.Told me everything was taken care of. Will see what happens. Hope nothing else goes wrong. Asked about an extended warranty, they said no because it's a high performance motor. Thats BULL****!!!!!!!!! So I hope nobody else out there has any problems with their warranty. I also have the lift kit, tour pack bars, wind deflecter on the back of the forks, Glock Works 6" windshield, took the stock seat & had jell installed front & back with Gater skin down the middle with Black Osterich on the sides, also the 2" pullback handle bars. What a difference they make!! I also have the V&H Power Dual headers & V&H pro mufflers. It runs really good!! The heads really make the big difference though. It's the 2011tri-glide w/merlot & black. Wish it was that dark blue they came out with. Oh well, can't have everything. I was on my way down to see Dennis when the lifter went out. Now we probably won't have anymore nice weather to ride. Sorry to write a book. Just blowing off steam I guess. Sorry everybody!! Have a good night. Jim

Just got my Trike back after the trans 32-30 swap. Wife wanted to go antique shopping so we took the car. I will ride to work tomorrow, but with the high only in the upper 50's the Trike will make great horsepower. We will see next summer if the other mods and the tranny work make a big difference.

Whoooee Jim!...That has to be a screamin' machine. I have a bud that has close to the same set up you do on his Ultra Glide 2 wheeler. They have a 100+ HP plaque on the wall at our dealer, and his is the latest entry... Dyno'd out at 113 HP...I bet yours is close to the same. I also know a guy that has a TG identical to mine.. EXCEPT... for the 120 Screamin Eagle motor and various other goodies on it. They are not sure cuz it wont fit on the dyno, but they estimate it is hittin' around 130 to 140 hp. They have had a lotta struggles gettin' it dialed in smoothly but think they have it now. Has Basani mufflers and it has a crazy deep loping rumble to it. It is actually in race bike mode now with that much juice. He has everything on that trike you can think of..except the lift kit!..It was his bike they compared mine to after they installed mine. He will be ordering one soon I think. I hope your dealer takes care of you on those issues!..You have obviously contributed to a few pay checks around there!..Keep us informed...Trent

How did that one guy get 120" motor? They are suppose to be for racing only. Don't know what they would charge to dyno mine again.Like I said before, they should do it for nothing. They took it an hour south of here where they dyno mustangs. It's called Brend Speed. I should just leave it alone. It's no problem lifting the front end off the ground. Just goose it a little. It's pretty loud though. If you are going 70-75 it's harder to hear the tunes. Those mufflers are 41/4 round. It's not overly loud though. Sounds like it has some balls. Came out of the HD shop in Walbash,In.& this guy comes over on a trike like mind. He says I heard your bike start up & new it wasn't stock.I like it alot, just tired of things going wrong with it. Well I have said enough, so take care & ride safe. Would like to get out your way someday. Last year after Sturgis we went up to Beartooth Pass. Almost came your way then. Jim By the way, mine has a nice lope also.

Jim... He ordered it and had it shipped to here. Then our dealership installed it for him and did more mods on it. It is something to behold and listen to when he goes down the road. He wears a blue helmet with blue and orange bristles coming out of it like a double mohawk to support Boise State Broncos. Quite a sight. Your bike sounds like a bad a$$ machine. I think I will keep mine like it is for now. If you or any one on this forum ever get out this way, gimmee a hollar so we can hook up. We are gonna hit the San Jaun Islands in Puegot Sound, Seattle via the State Ferry System in July...Anyone here is welcome to hook up and join us!! Been there in the truck many times.. first time on a Trike!... Let's Go!!! Take care and ride safe yourself...T.

The 120R is pretty easy to get, any dealer can sell one to you. I've seen out of the box 120R's dyno on 2 wheels in the 139 hp and close to that in torque, a trike would be a tick less due to the extra rotating mass and drive line loss vs the single rear wheel of a 2 wheeler. I've been following a thread on another site of a guy who has 15,000 miles on his out of the box 120R which he decided to make a cam swap on, he found the lifters to have some pretty funny wear which looks like it may have came from to heavy of a valve spring. This may be an Achilles heal of the 120R used on the street.

Please keep us updated on the 120R from the other site. I am considering one also. Just running the idea through my mind lately.

M3...If I remember correctly, I think they are dealing with the same cam issues on this guy's 120. He did the cam swap also...I am presuming by the way I have seen him ride, the motor never even gets close to what it is capable of doing, and that cant be a good thing for it. He is going to retire Dec 31st and spend all next year touring the country pulling a trailer. I will ask about the cam issues and see what I can find out also...

I'll sure keep abreast and share anything I come across. I have the 120R in mind as a replacement if I would ever have any engine problems in the trike. I would have had one for my 06 Ultra has I not already started buying parts to build a 120 from scratch for it.
