Hello from the metropolis of Banks, Alabama. I signed up a few months ago. I have a Champion Conversion ordered for my 2008 Ultra. It should be here soon. One of the site sponsors will install the kit. Lots of good info here.
I don't get on this site too often. I will try to check in when I can.
See you on the road. Bryan

Hey Bryan...Welcome! Glad to have you. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your blue beauty :D

Hey Bryan from CA (Central Alabama), glad you got on here with us. I can't imagine who that builder would be...:D I know he will take care of you and bet you'll love that trike. Hope to see you down that way sometime (We come down that way to the Goldwing Rally in Dothan each year). Enjoy and ride safe.

A hearty welcome bdn! If your builder is the same one I'm thinking of... oh somewhere around Alabama, they I know you'll be in good...no great hands!

Again, welcome to the madness!

Welcome aboard. You will love your trike. I have an 07 RoadGlide/Champion no reverse. SWEET RIDE!!!! And I know you have a GREAT builder. Lets see "Z**K" If you have questions fire away. Ted

Welcome, bdn56
We vacationed for many years in LA, always had a great time, expect to do it again. Our main stomping grounds was the Gulf Shores area.
I know you will enjoy triking.

Welcome bdn56 to the board and the world of 3 wheels! I keep mentioning it, but if you haven't, check out the thread on the tips from expierienced riders in the general forum. Don't be a stranger! We love to hear how the 3 wheel life if going for you.

Welcome to the board, glad we have someone else from Alabama. U have to watch out for Trikerjim and that guy called Bazooka :p they claim to be from Alabama but not real sure. Have fun ask questions and post some pictures when u get the trike.

Also read "Words of Wisdom" under the Genera Thread ENJOY and get some of the BUG remover for your front teeth before you take that first ride :p

Welcome aboard, from the Florida panhandle, which is practically the same as LA, except for different taxes. ;)

Is it possible we're working with the same dealer/builder? Someone whose initials are Z? :D I'm expecting to get my trike sometime next month--a Honda VTX 1300. Are you as excited/impatient as I am?

Thanks for all the replies.
This Champion conversion will be my second bike build by Randy and Marge.
I am trying to be patient. The factory seems a bit slow.
I have been riding on 2 wheels the past few weeks against my doctors and wifes orders. (Bum leg)

The waits almost over. Your kit shipped today right on the ship date the order confirmation fax said it would fall on when we ordered it. Champion is at least 90 days out and its going to get worse since they began taking orders for both solid and independent rear setups for almost two months now and I'm told they are slammed. It would be great to stock kits for every bike but there are design changes every couple of years with both Honda and Harley that makes stocking conversions for each year, make and model impossible. (Now if I were to hit the Florida Powerball that might all change!)

I think Champions new independent rear will give California Sidecar and Hannigan a real run for their money. I'm still solid rear fan because of the cost and reliability but there are those that gotta have the independent rear so Champion is building them now for the GL-1800s and probably the Harleys too down the road.

Zook, I too am a solid rear fan, and that plus the body style is why I went with M/T. The difference in installation instructions between Champion (hi quality) and M/T (early bar napkin) is night and day though!
BDN56, hang in there, it won't be long now!

Randy, I could give you a big hug. Well maybe Marge. Thanks for the call. I'll bring the bike down this afternoon. Thanks again.

Darn...Not sure why but I don't get near as many hugs as Marge :(...Your new Harley is real sharp Bryan. Did you like the last trike we did for you?? Was the paint job & fit and finish on it good? (shamelessly hinting for some kudos here ;))

Zook, I hadn't ridden for 2 months before you installed the voyager kit. I would have been happy to ride a moped with training wheels. If anyone wants the pictures you have of my 2007 Ultra with the voyager kit, let them see the good work you guys do.
I was very impressed with the workmanship and the painting. Your shop installed the kit correctly so I didn't have all the problems some people are having with the kit.
After 4000 miles last summer on the voyager without any mishaps, I would say for the money, the kit is fine.
You know I wasn't sure if I wanted a trike or not. With the voyager, I was able to take it off in 5 minutes and be back to 2 wheels.
It's not for everyone. My leg isn't healing like I thought it would. I need some more surgery. If I want to continue riding, I'll have to be a full time triker. Thanks for your help with deciding on the Champion. I know I will love it very sooooooooon.

Thanks Bryan. The pics are in my laptop which is in the repair shop. I'll post them up when I get it back.

Motor Trike builds a very fine trike. So does Champion. Slightly different styling and different features, both fine companies. In today's market its very difficult to be an exclusive dealer for only one brand. Some manufacturers demand it but the market demands choice so we had to go back to selling both to stay competitive. Motor Trike has a very broad lineup and the new Stallion. A great machine!

Champion also has broadened their lineup has introduced their new independent rear suspension on the GL-1800s with the GL-1500s with the Harley independents to follow. Giving customers a variety of choices is almost a must in this economy.

Juju, are you bugging Zook as much as I am? :)
Mid 70's tomorrow. I guess I'll get the Mustang convertible out for a ride.
We may see you guys in Dothan.
