Changed front forks to chrome over weekend. Was a lot of work but worth the effort.
took 5 hrs and I needed help installing the springs as they took more than just me to collapse the springs. Next project is the sprocket change but I think I will shop do this one.ThumbUp

My 2009 is in the shop as i speak having chrome rotars. calibers, bells, and lowers installed which will complets an entire chrome process. will post picture soon.

I forgot to say I put new Bridgestone tire mounted in reverse and new brake pads at the same time. Will post when I have some miles on it in the twisties to see if it has made a difference in handling.

Sweet! Nothing looks better than a totally chrome front end! I have chrome lowers on both of our bikes, and will put them on my wife's Tri Glide when we get it soon. Might even have the dealer to it to avoid the hassle.

When I put the chrome lowers on our '95 FLHTP, I just removed the metric bolt at the bottom, pulled the old ones off, and put the new ones on. Don't remember having to deal with the spring at all... but that was about 2 years - and many Jack Daniels - ago!
