Tri Glide LED Tail Lights

Yeah I did...And I liked the K. equipment...But I had the dealership intall my lights, and since I wanted to make certain everything would be covered if something went wrong, I stayed with the HD stuff. Easier and cheaper for them to fix their mistakes or malfunctions instead of mine!! Dont like to mess with that electrical stuff. I have spent so much $ at that dealership now that they take pretty dang good care of me. When you walk in a HD dealer and write out a check for the most expensive bike they have on the floor and then spend another 10 grand or more puttin more crap on it, they should!

I heard that! Yea, I like my dealer a lot and they aren't bothered when I go up and bug em' all day but this time I swore I would minimize their involvement in my customizing. I am with ya too on the warranty.

Just curious.

I try to do everything I can myself too. When I bought the led's I figured I could put em on myself. Didnt take me very long when looking at the directions, to figure out that I was in way over my head. And I have a huge head. I was happy to let them do it.

Been there Bro.

I did the mufflers, windshield and shield bag, and lift kit install myself so far and there are guys here that can do these things in their sleep. So far nothing is broke and it all works.

I plan on wrapping my header, switching the intake and installing the Vision tuner next. As far as actual tuning goes, well, I bought a model with unlimited idiot support.

Again there are guys here that can do this in their sleep.

Lights I might try myself. I am very interested in being as visible as possible. I live in the country and do a lot of night riding. I really want that LED head light and passing lamp set-up!

Man, will it ever end.............

Rob

No it will never end....sigh...while out riding yesterday, I liked how you could see the bikes with led headlites and passing lites coming at you from miles away. I suppose that will be my next project. Last night I ordered the new passenger backrest from Corbin for the TG. It has the extended arm rests. I ordered it with chrome studs to match my Mustang seat. 2 weeks out while they build it to order. Gotta keep my Bob (Babe on back ) Happy!! Then I can keep adding more crap.

Rob, I think you made a wise choice buying the Vision Tuner. If you need any help, a lot of guy's over on HDforums use this tuner. One is iclick! He loves to help guy's that bought the PCV and Vision Tuner. Good luck!

Kuryakn has a nice set of light that go on the back of the Tri-Glide, check the new catalog for Tri-Glide accessories...

Agree! I have them ordered along with the mud flaps and fender trim. Not availabe now, but as soon as the are, I am on the list and paid in full! Hope this picture does them justice. Of course I don't have the tourpac on my trike, so will be quite more visable I think.

I HAD THE DEALER REPLACE MY TAIL LIGHTS ON MY TRI-GLIDE TO "bad ass tail lights".
You can see them from a mile away in bright sunlight. You use a magnet to pass under the tail lights to change the frequency of flashinh when you apply the brakes.

Thank you for your service to our country Jerry Hobbit! Personally I think the BA lights are probably better than the HD lights that I ordered, by the way they came in yesterday and Ron is out there installing now. The BA lights also have a warrenty which is good. I would have purchased the BA lights if they were available with the Bar & Shield logo on them. I am splashing the Bar and Shield logo around on my trike for obvious reasons in random areas. These new HD trike tail lights might prove to be somewhat better than the single LED lights. They come with an improved wire system designed for trikes. Will get pictures of the before and after and the progress along the way.

I'm eager to hear and see your results, TNT. I have my TriGlide LED tail lights on order.

Installed the new LED Light's this morning. Install was simple, took about 30 min. Here's a video of the before and after result's. We are doing these mods to the rear because my wife rides solo and didn't want the tour-pak on. You lose a lot of lighting with it removed. We are waiting for her led light bar's from Kuryakyn.

Ron,

Those lights look fantastic and I cannot wait to get mine.

In your video, you had a note saying the stock light was incompatible with the converter.

Can you expand on that a little bit? Do the LED lights come with some sort of converter module that either replaces an existing one or is put in-line in the lighting harness somewhere? Or are all of the electronics built in to the LED light assemblies?

They come with a converter specifically for the TG LED's. Picture attached. Sorry for the delay, but I thought I sent this earlier, but must have sent it to the wrong thread or something.
