I didn't want to hijack the othe thread about a parking brake so....
For some reason I just don't care for the looks & location of the other parking brake. Also, that it appears to be cable operated.
So, after giving it a brief thought, I'm thinking that this might be accomplished electrically and run thru the ignition switch so that when the key is off, the brake would be on. It would use one of the rear disc brakes and wouldn't have to have near the strength of the caliper(s).
this really doesn't sound too difficult. I may have the electronics parts at work and will check my catalogs for the mechanical portion(s) on Monday.
