8-4-1961 Obama was born
6-23-2016 The Gov. is signing a bill that makes the state the first to enter gun owners into an FBI database.

:gah:

Just another "common sense" gun law that will put firearm owners into a "criminal" database for monitoring. This will help to curtail Hawaii's crime How?
Perhaps it will help the out of control "climate change". Time will tell !!!

So-o-o-o-......
Is this law going to be grand-fathered or just going forward with new sales?
If grand-fathered are they going to expect people to voluntarily come stand in line and sign up?
Or, maybe have deputies go door-to-door with search warrants to see who has a gun and sign them in? Those who have carry licenses are already in the FBI data base.
Many people who have purchased guns LEGALLY are already in a data base of registered gun owners.
This seems redundant.
They need to make sure they get all the bad guys to sign up....

There has never been an FBI list of gun ownership in any state. Hawaii added the purchase of ammunition so you'll be documented if you purchase from an authorized dealer. The State law will end up being a Supreme Court decision. We best hope republicans get to elect the next Supreme Justice, if not swhtf swiftly. The progressives are relentless in testing the courts like a child tests his/her parents.

Yes that is right.
We only had to do fingerprints for the FBI when we got our carry licenses - not register the guns with the FBI at the time. Hopefully this will die on the vine...

Yes, you are right. It was fingerprints we had to submit to the FBI when we got our carry licenses in Texas.

Hopefully this will die on the vine.
