Service Manual for Freewheeler

Went to HD dealer today to buy a service manual for the Freewheeler. Told the parts guy I had a Freewheeler Trike and wanted a service manual. He said "do you have a trike or a Freewheeler". I said I have a 2015 Freewheeler Trike. He said "HD makes 2 trikes" and I said yes I have the Freewheeler. He still didn't get it. I had to open the parts catalog and show him the Freewheeler. Unbelievable.

In any event, he didn't have a service manual but said I could order it. He then showed me the manual they had in their service department and it said on the front cover that it was a supplemental manual. I asked him was there more than one manual? He didn't know. After this conversation I didn't know if this guy knew what he was doing so I left. I looked on HD's website but could not find a service manual for a Freewheeler. Can someone give me the correct P/N for the service manual? Is there more than one manual?

Thanks,

Thanks Springman!

No Problem.

If I may suggest, if you acquire them all, you will have quite a collection of read material, and an investment!

The really bad aspect is they are glued-spine bound; and, that makes working with them a bit taxing at times. I had mine cut and spiral-bound again to make it easier to use them. I know, even more money; but, I have to say it probably was a good investment - not having to fight to keep them open to a page anymore.

I am tempted to take them to a buddy of mine and get them scanned (No, Not For Sale!) but to have them in PDF format on a disc or jump drive to store on the Freewheeler..... Or, upload them to the Cloud and be able to use them on my iPad.....

Even with the above, I have to say that I would never give up the original, paper manuals - they are the best!

Where did you get them cut and spiral bound ... great idea ... they always close on me at the wrong time.

What I did with some of my manuals was unbound them, punched holes with a hole punch and put them in three ring binders.

Well, they have the capability where I work; so, I did it on a lunch.

But, I know places like Staples, OfficeMax, and Kinkos can do it.......hope that helps.

Also, a note, if you get the two touring manuals you will find them rather large. I sort of wished I had split them into two as I rebound them.....may just do that yet....just an added thought.

Jack,

Where can the didgital service manual for the Harley Freewheeler be viewed and/or downloaded? (Free or purchase)

Is a didgital owners manual available too?

Does the Freewheeler have its own manual or just a supplement that goes with the touring model's manual?

I'll likely purchase a paper copy at some point but I could use one now and I can see where a digital copy that could easily be taken with you could come in quite handy.

Thanks!

I just contacted them & will be ordering. This includes the main touring manual, the electrical manual, and the trike supplement. Thanks for the link, dannymax.

Yes, I am frugal, but I have heard other words used. ;)

Just a quick update. Why did I not order this a year ago!:gah: It is 1,694 pages of good reading & for under $17, it is money well spent. For now, I need to quit drooling over it & copy the download to my external hard drive.

UPDATE: another very nice feature is when your looking at the table of contents, everything is a link, so if you see something your interested in, you can click on it & jump right to it. Very nice!

Well Michael....I bet none of those 'other words' are wasteful, besides us frugal guys get to have more stuff! :D
