Hello, joining this forum to get tips and info about trikes. Looking to buy a gold wing trike soon. Looking at a 2005 GW with a Roadsmith HTS kit. Not sure if it has the front steering kit. Can someone tell me if is a big difference without the kit?

Hello Karl! Welcome to TrikeTalk from Kerrville, Texas!

Yes... the rake kit made a tremendous difference in the 2 trikes I have had - both being a Gold Wing GL1800, one a solid axle and my current independent suspension.

Papa Zook who owns this forum is a trike kit installer (Cut-N-Shoot Customs, Conroe TX, 346-800-7946) and sells the rake kits at a nicely reduced price to TrikeTalk members. He can answer all your questions about it and fix you up if the trike doesn’t already have one.

,

You do want the steering kit, Big difference, My ride is a 98 GW with a Champion solid axel, I have a 4.5 degree steering kit, Almost like power steering, much harder steering without the kit, Well worth the price of the kit, I am not sure if one can get a kit other than a 4.5 degree, I have been told if you go more than that, You loose to much feel in the front end, You want some resistance, Hope this is help full, :)

What kell said, get the steering kit, think Road Smith calls it EZ Steer, if you don't get it, you won't be happy. It's the option they offer that really works and well worth the extra $.
