2016 Roadsmith Goldwing needs rebuilt rear CV shafts - pumpkin seal also leaking

Hi, everyone - my first real post. Recently picked up a 2016 Goldwing trike with Roadsmith kit. Dealer says I need a rebuild on rear CV shafts - and that there is a leak at the "Pumpkin seal" - at the gearbox where the CV shafts go into. I don't know what all of this means. The dealer doesn't do that work, so they asked me to find someone who does. How big of a deal is this?? Dealer says that otherwise, the Trike is great - they looked it over thoroughly. Thanks!

Thanks! Any other thoughts? I love my new Trike, but surprisingly am having trouble finding anyone who will work on it. And I'm in Las Vegas!

Call Crossroads of the West Trike and Trailer in Salt Lake City. I know they are about 300 mi away but maybe a call to them will get you a local shop that does Roadsmith conversions.

Another option is to contact D&D Discount Motorcycles in Tempe, AZ, about 275 miles from you. They are owners of Champion Trikes and work/convert all major trike brands. It's an easy day ride, overnight in AZ and ride home with a fixed trike. Make it an adventure!!!!! Good luck..... Jim
