2009 GL1800 Hannigan Trike Top Trunk Brake Wires

I was in the process of replacing my top trunk bulbs with new LED type. I got the lens out OK and the bulb sockets. I replaced the bulbs with the new LEDs. However getting the lens back in is a bit of a challenge. Does anyone make a brake light wire extender that would help? Alternately, can I safely splice into the brake light wire before the power connector? If so what gauge wire should I use? Thanks the input in advance.

Brake Light Wire extension Resolved

I contacted Electrical Connection and they actually had the brake light wire extensions in stock $25 per pair. Problem resolved. Anyone else who runs into this call the folks at Electrical Connection 865.219.9192
