Belt adjustment with kit installed?

How difficult is it to adjust the drive belt tension with the voyager kit installed on a harley softail?

Might be faster to remove the kit.

Local mechanic recommended taking the kit off to adjust the belt tension.

Had time today, removed bags and set alignment and adjusted the belt tension.

Not sure why he wanted it removed, the adjustment went well. I guess time will tell.

I would think more accurate with intact.

After a short ride could not really tell any difference.
