Hello,

I got some stuff from DK, lift kit and slip ons, I thought it would be easier to do with the body removed, so does anybody know how much the body on a freewheeler weighs? I want to know so if its too much, I can get someone other than my wife to help me lift it off, I'm guessing with the fenders attached, around 100?

Thanks in advance

It is easily lifted by 2 normal people. My wife and I are in our late 60s and have no problem lifting it. More bulky than heavy. I estimate it weighs 70 lbs with fenders on it.

And yes you are spot on in removing the body to do that work. Taking the body off is a 15 minute job and will save you hours of struggling.

While you have the body off call DK & get the new shocks, you will do it eventually. I would bet 75% of owners have done them The other 25% have no clue.

I’m not exactly sure how much the body weighs but I think it’s less than 100 pounds.

I think taking it off is fairly easy but putting it back on is likely best with two people.
