I'm on my third trike, a 2008 GL1800/RoadSmith and have a couple more on my bucket list, a Stallion and a Spyder RT. I would like to hear from owners of both. I'm very happy with my RoadSmith but will allow someone to adopt it at a fair price. If seriously interested send me a PM or email for details. It is a 2008 and is loaded and pristine.

A couple questions for Stallion owners only. Should I be concerned about water resistance of Ford switches (cc, horn, lights, etc.), designed for automotive applications? Have you found Ford dealers receptive to providing service on the drive train?

The brake switch is now watertight, not so with the cruise control switch but I have not had any issues with mine as I have not been caught in the rain.

My Stallion has had one issue with the brake switch, replaced two years ago. Did a 2,600 miles ride last fall, rained every day and other than wet clothes, no problems. I did learn one thing, I won't melt:D

We have a Stallion dealer and a Ford dealer in our town that works on it so not an issue for us. No water problems so far, but we have not done a lot of rain driving.

Try to drive both and pick the one that puts the biggest smile on your face.

Had one of the early brake switches go out. We also had a very early production model that had an issue with the air pump and pedel adjuster switches. Both were replaced with the upgraded current switches and have had to issues. We have been in very heavty rain without issues. Stallion is a great trike.
