Car tire on Burgman 650

I ground part of the bead off the rim so it would not be so hard to put the tire on the rim. Makes a softer ride, and when I took the tire off it was realy hard to break down, so grinding it down did not hurt it. Lots of people have put them on the burgman 650 and like them great, but did not grind the rim down. It takes about 100 lb pressure to get it on if you dont grind it down, about 40 to get mine on. If you go to BurgmanUSA Forum and Website and look for darkside you will find lots of info on the tire. I did not grind any of the tire. The car tire is about 1/4 in smaller inside thats why its hard to mount on rim. Wayne

I'l bet he is. Stallions come with automobile tires all the way around.
They also last a lot longer than motorcycle tires due to the wider surface on the ground.
Remember, since we don't lean like a two wheeler that side tread is wasted.

Yes it is the rear tire, very pleased with it, lasts longer , cheaper and smooth. Wayne

Please help me understand. Your AN650 has been triked [1f/2r]? It now has a total of three wheels? You are using a Bridgstone passenger tire on the front or on the two rear wheels? Thanks.

3 wheels on back, Potanza car tire on center back wheel 165/65 r 14, out side 2 back wheels has a Danson kit, tires are 175/65 R 14. Wayne

I saw this on a Burgman Trike Conversion for the first time. It was parked at Sloan's Motorcycles in Murfreesboro, Tennessee last Saturday. Come to find out, I know the Owner from years ago. He really likes it and I may get to ride it myself in the future.....I'll be sure to post here if I do.....ThumbUp

I run a Dunlop Wintersport Runflat car tire on the rear of my 95 Aspencade. Have since added a Tow Pac Insta Trike. After 8000 miles I still see no tire wear. Hope to get 25-30k on it.
