I told you that the first time we met in Kerrville.orag:
I also told you that you looked really handsome riding Fireball in your new jacket when we went riding with John and Jan.
Well....I have officially transitioned over from trike rider to Spyder Rider!
Rode it Saturday and finally summoned up enough courage today to trade my perfectly good, extremely comfortable, heavily accessorized, 34,000 miles, 2008 Gold Wing Motortrike Adventure kit for a..... 2014 Spyder RT Limited SE6, 2,350 miles, cognac color.
Lots of agonizing pros and cons went into this decision and most of you know I have considered this swap for over a year. Whether it is the right one or not at least it lifts some heavy “con” burdens from my soul about keeping the trike.
The weather is pretty bad today - rain and 38*. They are adding a driver’s backrest for me and switching out the longer antennae for the shorter one. When the weather lets up this week I will take my coveted Gold Wing trike to the dealer, kiss her on the nose, thank her for the exemplary service she has bestowed on me since 2012 and bless her with my sincerest best wishes. Another good chapter is closed.
I am looking forward...as my signature says:
New course heading Mr. Sulu: 2nd star to the right and straight on til morning!
I like your course correction and your new choice of Star ship. I have put over 40,000 miles on my Spyder since I dumped my GW trike.I have never looked back.

Congrates for sure! Glad to see you added to our "web" of Spyders.........my wife is on her 3rd one and I have my first one and love it. Ride safe......if you have questions, ASK and you shall receive.........If we have the answer........
Many thanks OJ. And thanks to all for the many congrats I’ve received.
Picked her up today. Now the “crack” cleaning begins. Takes me a while to detail a bike as I work so fastidiously on getting every spec of dust eliminated. Believe me...in west Texas that will keep ya busy!
