Drive shaft

Hay guys and girls thanks for all the info on the cv joint ,that was the problem and i replaced it and lined it up like some one said.The clunk is gone but now i have a vibration,any thoughts thanks rich. P S this is on a 88 1500 goldwing
 
The drive shaft out of the trans of a Honda has an alignment. If it is not aligned it will vibrate. I do not know the alignment procedure though sorry.
 
Thanks for all the info ,I think I have figured it out but if some one knows what the alignment procedure is I would like to know just to double check and make shore this is right. Thanks Rich.:):)
 
the 2 yokes on the shaft should be timed
if you set the shaft on a flat surface the inner two yokes should sit flat and or the outside two should sit flat
hope you can understand that

Also, if the yokes are timed and there is still vibration you might try rotating the shaft one spline where it comes out of the tranny. keep the yokes in alignment. Doesn't help or gets worse, try the other way.
