Florida prepare for Hurricane

Brothers and Sisters living on the West coast of Florida get prepared for a possible cat 2 hurricane

y'all be safe

Yep…Everyone Run over to Home Depot and buy plywood to replace the plywood that you should have saved from the last time a hurricane threatened , and you had to run out and get plywood from the time before because you didn’t save it that time and so on and so forth Sometimes I think those people after the hurricane, they grind up the plywood and mix it in with their grits ….. it’s like out here in the Northeast it’s gonna snow and run out and get shovels and snow blowers sand/salt cause they didn’t save it from the last time they needed it,...

My place is currently on the west edge of the cone. If it moves anymore west, it will start being more direct hit.

Sheriff is saying possible Cat 3-4 and be the strongest to hit the big bend area in 50+ years.

Should be a fun ride.

Take care Mike, we got lucky in our Tampa Bay area, right now the storm is about 125 miles offshore directly west of us. We've got no rain and only about a 15 mph breeze blowing. Looks like Tallahassee is going to take a pretty big hit.

Batten down the hatches and stay safe.

Keep an eye on the storm, it is getting stronger and moving fast

Hay Gary, wasn’t there a east coast hurricane a few yrs ago , the same time of MV

Been following the storms progression. Looks like it's going to get real ugly. And now there are projections that it may cross Florida, head out to sea and double back to Florida again. Batton down and stay safe..... Jim :pray::pray:

Thanks for thinking of Florida cSc. In Ocala, we're closer to the center of the state (vertically) so we've only gotten moderate wind and rain. Those closer to the Gulf of Mexico are getting hammered according to the news. Our community in Ocala have all underground utilities so we rarely lose power or water. (Now that I've written that watch us lose it ALL!)

Thanks for asking Trike Lady. In Ocala we were very lucky. Some wind and rain, a few branches down, not near as bad as it could have been. Am wondering about Jack as he was a lot closer to it than we were.

All good here Jim, we had some big gusts of wind, no damage just lots of leaves and pine needles in the yard

Very little rain, we dodged a big one

Good to see you faired good, specialy with all the trees in The Ocala National Forest

Yeah Frankie, I can't remember the name of the storm a couple of years back but we went from the east end of Tennessee to the west end, damn storm kept following us. Then there was no gas anywhere to try and get home, took us a week. Just glad everyone is ok that we've heard from.
