Hello.

Hi, just found the website, joined and already had a welcome message. Already found a few useful threads and looking forward to reading a lot more plus contributing to the forum. I am based near Ilminster, Somerset, UK. I ride a Boom Highway trike. Found it in a shipping container in a rather sorry state. Virtually rebuilt it and it is now fully legal and been on the road for about 3 weeks.

With a whole list of medical problems, I was starting to find that my hips and legs didn't always work as they should. This cause a few near miss's when stopping at junctions. So about 12 months ago I tarted thinking about going from a bike to a trike. Started building a trike using a 1300 Ford Escort Crossflow engine and autobox, then found the boom trike. Been buy getting used to riding a trike instead of a bike has been a bit of a learning curve. Everything works differently and I don't have as much power as I am used to. Having said that, I am loving every minute of it. Got a few things I need to sort out on the trike, like cleaning and servicing the carb, but nothing I can't deal with.

Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks

Hi again. Thanks for all the welcome messages guys. Much Appreciated.

I see most of you are in the USA. If you look at a map of the UK, somerset is in the south west corner. Tiny little village called SEA, about 1 mile from Ilminster. 22 miles from the famous Jurrassic coast. Not many trikes around here. Lots of bikes roar through in the summer months. Look forward to chatting with some of you.

Regards

Chopper
