They say chocolate will kill a dog. I had a doberman ate one of those giant size nestle bars. The only effect it had on her was making her look guilty as hell.

During Christmas holidays one year we were standing in the vet’s office when he got an urgent call from some personal friends whose small dog had gotten into the chocolate Christmas candies while they were out. They rushed him to their vet and wanted the vets to talk together about possible emergency treatment - but the little fella didn’t make it... it was pretty quick. Our vet said to absolutely NEVER let dogs have anything more than maybe a smidgen of chocolate - like 1 M&M maximum. He said it was ok for them to lick out the chocolate ice cream bowl if there isn’t but a couple of licks left.
