LED Headlights, Why Did You Purchase Them ?

My question is, if you purchased LED headlights and possibly spotlights did you purchase them for Daytime visibility or Night-time riding visibility ?

I bought mine primarily for daytime visibility. You can clearly see the difference between stock incandescent bulbs and LED bulbs.
In this pic, I've swapped out the left passing lamp for an LED unit. The right passing lamp and headlight are still the original OEM bulbs:
After all three bulbs have been converted to LED:
As a side note, I always run with my high-beams on during the day and I've wired my passing lamps to illuminate regardless of the high-beam switch.

There's no doubt that the new LED offerings are brighter and draw less amperage which makes your alternator very, very happy! :D

I'm also in the process of changing the various lights on my Wing over to LED as well. ThumbUp

i have done this conversion on both my neighbors bikes they love it for all riding day and night

Led headlight swap

I know this is an old thread but I have swapped every HD headlight for a Custom Dynamics One since 2013. Also passing lamps, turn signals and rear brake/run light . I believe in the adage see and be seen! The LED from Custom Dynamics is far superior to the HD bulbs . Best price I could find was from Direct Cycle parts in texas
