Maybe Not Correct Fitment

I changed over my rider backrest yesterday from just a standard one to an adjustable one. Of course the mount and actual backrest has to be changed....$$$$$.

The issue was a couple months ago I switch my OEM seat for a Harley Tall Boy seat. After everything was installed for the new hardware I tried to put my seat back on. The rear bolt hole didn't line up correctly, being short. I was able to move the metal bolt mount on the seat out enough to make it reach but it just seemed that adjustable backrest kit was not made to fit with the Tall Boy seat.

Anyone else have this combination?

I had an extended reach Mustang on my 07 Electra Glide but that’s an older …

I thought the bolts on the bike and the holes on the mount made it to where you could move it back some?

I wish it did. My old non-adjustable backrest mount could be adjusted when mounting. This one goes in one place with no other choice.

After making the modification we rode (2-up) to Everglade City, putting about 240 miles on for the day. I checked everything when I got back and all was well with the seat install so I guess it will be okay
