In this crazy time we are all in, please do not forget what this Memorial Day holiday is all about.

Thank you to all Veterans, past & present, for your service & sacrifice. It does not go unnoticed!

Our local National cemetery, Jefferson Barracks is having a ceremony, but sadly this year, it is not open to the public.

What is amazing to me is that for the most part it is us veterans that understand the true meaning of Memorial Day. Others treat it like Veterans Day. And a large group treat it as another day off work. (3 day weekend)

R. I P. my brothers and sisters and THANK YOU

I remember in the late 50s when I was growing up and was a cub and then boy scout that Memorial Day was a big deal, even in our little farm town in Michigan. There would be a parade that everyone turned out for. The parade would end at the cemetery for the prayer and TAPS. And everyone was there. But that was a time not very long after 2 wars ended. People understood it then because it had affected them.
