Just joined the forum and thought I would introduce myself! 64 years young, biking for 48 years and due to my good wifes back problems changed a BMW K1600 Grand America for a 2018 Harley Tri Glide so we can continue touring both here and abroad. Well, the Tri Glide was a MASSIVE culture shock……. If someone had told me 12 months ago I would riding not only a Trike but a Harley I would have been less than polite in my response! However, after the initial “What on earth have I done” moments, we now both love it. Biggest change has been how you approach riding a Tri Glide and I am getting used to taking more time, relaxing and enjoying the ride.
Since buying the Tri Glide I have had a Stage 1 kit fitted, added various luggage extras, changed the awful original screen, fitted a heated Hammock seat, heated grips and have new rear shocks and comfort plates on order. Then fit the DayMaker 7” headlight if I can find out how to wire it in. Bought the listed extra wiring harness but my UK bike doesn't have the multi pin plug needed. Ah well, I am sure there is a way of getting it connected up!?!?!
