Passenger peg relocation for Frankenstein 34" Hot Rod rear.

Passenger peg relocation for Frankenstein 34" Hot Rod rear.

Can't use stock passenger pegs with Frankenstein Hot Rod rear, so relocated to front fender strut bolt. Easy fix - same threads, longer bolt required. Pegs up high - like old school choppers!

i have a small p pad with suction cups that works pretty good. one of the advantages to having a really short fender is that my girl has to sit real close and hang on tight! plus, it helps that she is a tiny thing. heehee...
Clearly you are a man who plans ahead . LOL!

Re: Passenger peg relocation for Frankenstein 34" Hot Rod rear.

Plan on using the same Mustang rear seat (without conchos) - wife was comfortable on this one. It will also be mounted further back than normal for a little more room and to clear the Corbin seat (which I won't give up). Will also be fabricating a similar sissy bar. The trick will be mounting it all without drilling any new holes in the fender which will probably involve fabricating a seat / sissy bar base that attaches to the 3 studs where the stock HD backrest mounts and some rear feet than won't mar the fender. The goal is to do the conversion in a way that it can be reversed, should the next owner want 2 wheels instead of 3. I'm well aware that Deuces are holding their value lately - especially anniversary editions.

Just waiting now for that phone call that the Frankenstein is in...

Re: Passenger peg relocation for Frankenstein 34" Hot Rod rear.

Memories... No, not the song from cats:no: I rode a '71 Sporty chopper in the late 70's with the passenger pegs on the shock bolts. Looked cool, and I could always lean back and use her knees for armrests. Definitely a case of having "your knees in the breeze".
