We are planning a ride next year to Pennsylvania, wanting to ride around the pine creek gorge area, Hershey and Gettysburg, looking at an RV park called Buttonwood in Mifflintown. Anybody familiar with this area or know of someplace else that would work better? Also any other must do stuff close to these areas? Thanks

I'm not sure where you are coming in from but central PA has the Flight 93 Memorial and Elk county where there are lots of elk and more than a few good wineries.

Just opposite Hershey Park is the PA State Police Academy and they have a decent tour.

You'll also be in Amish country and there is no shortage of good places: Intercourse, Blue Ball, etc.

Thanks for the feedback, sounds like some good stuff to check out. I will be coming up 81 from TN. Not sure on the campground we will use, still looking at different spots to make for shorter day rides.

The west side of 81 lots of great riding ...... too much to see ... from where you are planning to stay in Mifflintown there is something to see in every direction. Be safe and enjoy.
