This is probably a question for Zook, but I don't get this rake angle stuff.
I have a Goldwing 1800 and the specs show a 29.5 degree rake angle for the bike itself. The Roadsmith conversion has a 5.5 degree rake angle. I've looked at the diagrams on the internet and get the general idea of what rake angle means.
BUT, why do our trike conversion specs quote rake kits from 4.5 to 6 while the motorcycle specs show rake angle between 25 and 30 degrees?
Do I add 5.5 to the stock 29.5 for a modified 35 degree angle?
If a stock Harley Touring bike has a 26 degree rake, does the TriGlide have less rake angle than my Goldwing?
Why isn't there a decent explanation of this stuff available to us?
