Update and thanks
Thanks for all the prayers for my nephew Frankie. He is out of his first surgery. They reconstructed the bones in his face and a plastic surgeon has put the skin back. It looks likely that he will lose his leg. All the muscle was separated from the bone. He had a friend from his church on the back as they were out for a nice ride. A Corvette club was coming the other way and one guy decided to pass the line of Vettes on a blind curve. The other cars made room for him to move back in, but he wasn't looking at the road. He was going about 70 when he hit Frankie who was almost stopped. I want the lawyer to hold the Corvette Club responsible as it was a club sponsored event. I am beyond pissed.
PS
He lives in San Antonio and he is a hard core Texan. He was wearing his do-rag instead of a helmet and that caused me to lose more sleep than anything. Please think about your loved ones when you decide to go helmet less. I don't guess it would have made much difference getting a Corvette in the face at 70mph, but it could have.
Please keep up the prayers.
