Prayers For Ed "2Paps" Bruette

Update: 9/10/18

I walked into Ed's room this afternoon where I found Ed resting comfortably . He was watching the news about the storm. We chatted briefly about a few things. Ed is on top of what is going on.ThumbUp

Day by day the bumps and bruises are quickly disappearing. All of Ed's bandages and wraps were removed from Friday's surgeries on both legs. I am amazed at how fast his healing is progressing.

His second day of physical therapy for his legs was good.ThumbUp

Update: 9/11/18

I visited Ed and the family this afternoon where I found Ed sleeping peacefully. I chatted briefly with both Connie and Kelly.

Ed woke up and then waved, smiled and then started chatting with us.

Ed is progressing very rapidly. His daughter, Kelly, then said that Ed has been released by the Orthopedic surgeon to be transferred from the Mission Trauma Hospital to a rehabilitation hospital in Asheville, NC. Ed will be getting his other two doctor's releases very soon. Ed may be released to the rehabilitation hospital as early as tomorrow. Go Ed.:clapping: I gave Ed the thumbs up sign. Ed gave me a thumbs up back. That was great news.

While I was visiting, Ed was moved from his bed to a chair. Ed can now sit upright in a recliner type chair with both his legs elevated.ThumbUp

I will ask Ed, tomorrow, if he is ready to go on line.

All in all, Ed is looking real good.ThumbUp

Please hold up any mail to Ed addressed to the Mission Hospital. I will provide Ed's new rehab hospital name and address in tomorrow's visit update. I will also provide his new room phone number.

Ed is ready to talk with his Trike Talk Family.

Wonderful news David, thanks again for all you're doing with the updates. We've already sent a card, wonder if they will forward to the new place, doesn't matter, we'll send another.

Thanks for the notice, I went out to the mailbox and retrieved our card. Now to find another envelope.:D

Not to worry Gary.

I will check in with the family tomorrow and get some details on forwarding or holding mail for pick up.

I am sure Mission Hospital has some experience with this matter.:D

I just found this link that was shared in the Maggie valley post. It is great to hear Ed is recovering and doing better every day. I have been looking for updates and did not know where to look.
