William Gillette built this castle in 1914. Only 4 bed rooms and each with its own bathroom. ( yes flush toilets ) built with all stone found on the 140 acre property on the Connecticut river.
Dont know William Gillette? He was Sherlock Holmes in plays and movies and wrote books. The property had it's own railroad. Nice ride from home 60 miles.
