social distance

We needed about 4 grocery items yesterday to get us through a couple of more weeks of staying out of store and such. There was a Dollar General in the small town close to our current campground that didn't look busy so I ducked in there. Of course I had on plastic gloves plus a bandana.

Ended up waiting in the checkout line but it was no big deal because they had pieces of tape on the floor with the words "stand here" six feet apart. The two folks in front of me were standing on their lines. I turned to the side to look at something and out of the corner of my eye I realized the moron behind me was no more than 2 feet away!

I probably should have said something like "excuse me sir, but would you mind standing six feet away". Instead what really came out was a loud "SIX FEET PAL, CAN'T YOU F$%*#*@ READ?" He came out of whatever stupor he was in and moved away.

I'm starting to think they should call this the stupidvirus instead of the coronavirus.

This whole thing is turning us into bigger assholes than we already were. The human side of humanity is gone. I went to the store the other day. People with masks gloves and yup rain coats. I saw two older women I could see they were perplexed. I asked if they were ok. Yes but no one would help them. One couldn't reach the top shelf the others eyes were so bad she couldn't read how many ounces were in the package. We should be ashamed at the society we've become. Supposedly religious people bragging about how many rounds of ammo they have to fight off the hordes. What a shame. You come to my house and you're hungry we'll eat. If I don't have food we'll starve together. If this is the new normal it is shameful.

People are using this virus as an excuse for their [Latent] anti social behavior .....

Other than the stores , ware being social never existed anyway, the neighbor hood here is more social than before , and respecting the distance thing. I’ve even met a few newbees that I didn’t even know , and I’ve been here for over 40 years.

Not like at the glamp , ware the city folk won’t even respect or want to speak the English language = NO RESPECT :gah:

I'm doing my part of social distancing, I'm staying home like our governor wants, only going out for groceries and that is about it, the bad thing is I'm gaining weight, I'm snacking more than I ever have, very bad habit that I have, sure don't want to buy new jeans in the future but if this keeps up I may have to. One thing about it I can go out and do yard work, that may help, have some other projects outside to keep me busy without leaving home, eventually it will warm up enough around here to dig the trike out and go riding and I will keep my distance there also since I ride by myself.

All for now Trampas

Put on weather-appropriate clothes and walk around your property 10 complete loops, twice a day... that will help some and keep you safe at home.

I did that here awhile back, went down the sidewalk to the end of the street, felt good but back was bothering me before I got back, I have bone against bone in lower back from a injury from work, also have plantar factiistis which I have some good shoes for that but sometimes it bothers me.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I just have to learn not to snack, LOL, just took brownies out of oven :D:D:D

Non Social Distancing

Decide to do some NON social distancing today ... put the pet palace onto the trike, which turned out to be harder than I thought ... I forgot how to strap it down . Good thing I took some good pictures when I was using it before. So, Harley and I were not at least 6 feet apart, in fact, less than too ... :D.

Anyway, I took my little buddy on a ride towards Gateway, Co. It's a gorgeous ride through a canyon that has cattle ranches, a creek and lots of other neat things to look at. After about 25 miles I pulled onto one of the dirt county roads and went about a mile, pulled over and let the little dude just run free in a grassy area .. he had a ball. He put his little nose to the ground and started running. LOL, being so short and old, he doesn't get far before he poops out. When he quit running, he came back and I gave him some water. He wandered around in about a 10 foot area for awhile, then came and laid down by my feet.

We headed back and I slowed down to look back at him, couldn't see him in any mirror. He had laid down and was snoozing inside the pet palace, a first ... LOL ... good to be him. :D

I'm not sure he'd be up for a long ride like 200 miles .. I think he's a tad old for that stuff. But, he had a ball and has slept the rest of the afternoon.

Here he is when we pulled back into the garage

Not a great picture with the sun behind him ... I was able to brighten him up some, but the background was washed out pretty bad.
