Steering Damper install

I recently built a custom trike kit and I need to install a steering damper. I wobble real bad between 50-60mph. I have a 84 GL1200A. Has anyone ever installed one and if you did were did you put it. Any help would be a blessing.

</div>Also try tighting the steering head nut. Needs to be tighter as a trike then as a 2 wheeler. Should have slight resistance to movement when jacked up and you try to move the bars.

A properly designed and built trike should not shimmy or wobble..

Most wobble problems can be traced to the REAR end.. I suggest puttiing rear of your trike on solid jack stands and observe what happens when you spin it up thru the gears..

Be careful this could be dangerous..

Also check your rear wheel alignment to the frame and front wheel of the trike..Misalignment or too much tow in or out can cause wobble.

could be rear wheels out of balance or a slightly bent rim...
loose headset bearings

if it was low speed i would be more conserned about the trees .. raked or not but at higher speed would think it would be a trail problem
