Just a semi-quick update on a new Tri-Glide reverse motor problem I just had. At 248 miles, the electric reverse seemed to have died. Still heard the relay closing.
The dealer initially said the motor burned out. After they discussed it with H-D factory, It was found that breaker had PARTIALLY tripped. This allowed enough voltage to get through for the relay, but not enough to run motor.
The solution was just to open breaker completely and reset.
The factory mentioned to dealer that they have run across this a couple of times. I notice the owners manual mentions location of reset (right side, under seat, behind hard to remove plastic cover on my 2010 model).
Hopefully this info will save someone the pain of having to leave trike at dealer.

I'm surprised that somebody at Harley actually admitted to having any problem at all. Not surprised that a HD mechanic can't tell if a starter motor is burned-up or not.
