We Voted!

I checked the status of my ballot yesterday and it is in the hands of the clerk of the court here in Lovington. :clapping:In every state all mail in ballots should be in the hands of the voting authorities on or before November 3rd and ready for counting when the polls close. A person should be able to complete the ballot in 24 to 48 hours and have it in the mail the following day. You are being given sufficient time to return it before November 3rd. I having the feeling this is going to be a 'Tainted' election.

Worster than hanging chads..∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞............:gah:

Early voted as I will be unable on Nov. 3rd. Second day of early voting here. Not a huge turnout or wait. First day set records all over the area with long lines all day long.

We voted today. Very light turnout at the one location for the whole county. A couple in front of us and my wife and I were escorted into a conference room to fill out a form with our full name and address, signature and date. We then took that to another room where we slipped the form and our drivers license under a window to be verified that we were registered.

The woman there gave us ballots and we went into another room to fill in the ballot. We put them into the machine where it dinged and incremented the counter on the front. We were 43XX to vote on that machine.

The easiest voting I ever did. Here's hoping it worked. :pope:

Voting for support of police officers

I read the US is up to 70 million people voted already. I know at the 4 sites in St. Louis County today, there were a 100 or so people in line all day long.

Here in St. Louis county, an elderly woman was crossing the street early Tuesday morning, wanting to be the first few inline to vote. She was struck and killed by a driver & didn't make it to the polls.

A very sad story.

I am happy to report that after checking the VoteAmericaTexas website that none of my dead Texas relatives voted in the presidential election this week.

I was under the impression that we would be given special pens to use to color in the box. NOT! They were cheap ball point pens...had to do a lot of strokes to get the box colored in solid with ink.
