What Did You Do To Your Freewheeler Today?

If your reservoirs are leaking, either they are too full and or the screws are not tight enough

Give your brake pedal a shot of WD 40, see if it quiets down On my 15 and 17 I drilled and tapped the pedal shaft for grease fittings, I will end up doing this one soon, just as I did the notorious shift shaft bushing ;)

Took it back to Atlantic County HD where the fluid change was done and they replaced both brake reservoir covers and gaskets. No charge. Got to give them props for that one. 40 miles home and dry as a bone. Hopefully that's the end of that for another 2 years.

Good on you, is the rear pedal still squeaking?

I sure hope the paint doesn’t “blister” on your reservoirs (or anywhere else). Keep an eye on things. Dealer should be responsible if there’s any damage.

Ordered and received from a H.D. Dealer out of Massachesetts an additional Brake/Turn Signal/License Plate bracket for my 2019 Freewheeler..."Time Machine". I also found on Ebay the exact same H.D. License Plate Frame that was initially on my 2008 Anniversary Softail Custom, then on my 2015 SGS. Purchased an American Flag Motorcycle License Plate, again from Ebay plus 2 H.D. Reflectors from Beach House H.D. in Shallotte NC. Attached the reflectors using 3M Extreme Tape to a couple of flat aluminum pieces that are bolted via the License Plate bolts. My desire was to balance out the rear appearance plus possibly adding an additional level of safety when the headlights of another vehicle approaches from behind. Already added Eagle Lights LED Strobe Brake/Turn/Running lights plus a Custom Dynamics Luggage Rack Run/Brake light. Maybe, just maybe, the combination of license plates and reflectors act as potential mudguards but certainly not a primary reason for the addition. Certain that there are those that disdain any and all reflectors....I am simply not one of those. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Hey SPFLRT … I see that you have the Cobra Rear Bumper on your FW. I’m wanting to order one this weekend for my 17 and was hoping that the install was doable at the house. Can’t find any vids … any input is always appreciated. Thanks

It is a very easy install. Torque wrench required for safety. Otherwise the instructions are extremely clear and easy to understand. Purchased mine through www.PartsGiant.com. My experience was that they are a very reliable supplier and have the best price I could find. Other than getting on the ground, arthritis is a bitch...getting up more difficult....takes maybe 30 minute to accomplish. I truly like the appearance and believe it provides great protection.

I Used an Amazon card I had to get 3157R Zevo Super bright rear bulbs for the rear of my Freewheeler

They are brighter than the older models and you don't have to worry about polarity with installing them

You will still have to run the 4 ways to sinc them to the BCM so they don't hyper flash

It did not set any codes on this 21 model, like it did on my 17 model

They carry a lifetime warrant also

Something to consider

Received from Amazon a Gooloo GT160 portable air compressor which I am planning to keep in the trunk of my FLRT. After watching Project Farm video on YouTube (his videos are awesome) even he was very impressed with the quality and results that this little compressor is capable of performing. I suggest watching the video to draw your own conclusions. Anyway..it has a 7500mAh Lithium battery and is capable of inflating a tire, raft, ball, whatever up to 160# pressure. It utilizes a USB connector to charge the battery but I will admit I do not know as I type this how long the battery holds its charge. The unit itself is 2 1/4" x 7" x 3". WxLxH. Comes with its own pouch and can be programmed to deliver the amount of air pressure to fill the tire. Merely a safety item if nothing more. Back in 2013 my wife and I were at the Miracle Ride in Indianapolis. She submitted her H D XL1200C into the bike show. Unknown to us, but discovered by the judges, the bike had a nail in the rear tire. Due to that and only for that reason per the one judge, she came in 3rd. We still have the trophy but not the bike. Fortunately one of the other attendees had a tire repair kit and a compressor. Today we both carry tire repair kits in our bikes. Now we will have a compressor as well. Simply "food for thought". Cost after using $15.00 coupon..$44.99 20230806_055220.jpg
