hitch

If you were to buy one from Motor Trike for an Adventure or Razor conversion kit this is what you'd get. Very similar to easytriker's

The one that came on my 2010 Motor Trike Adventure did not have the main tube going forward to an attaching point. I bent it the very first time I used it. What they offer now is very close to what I designed and built. Mine had a longer main tube forward of the weight carrying point. To me it gives more strength. :xszpv: :xszpv:

Do you have a picture of your hitch. That would be a lot of help

No, I'm sorry. Never took one. As I said it looked a lot like the one offered by MT now except the main tube came forward another 3 inches as I recall. The draw pin hole was in the same location. Just had more tube for added support. I also welded an anti rattle nut on the side of the tube so the drawbar would not rattle all the time.

Luckily our 2006 GW MT came with a hitch, hitch ball and a tray like thing that fits in the hitch so a cooler or luggage can be carried. Since we probably not have a trailer I'm going to purchase a nice cooler for the tray thing. Wouldn't mind finding a kit if someone makes one.

One more thought our MT is a Spyder which is doesn't have all that much storage so the tray thing will be decided between luggage and a cooler.

Bill, another good thing is that your Spider has a welded on hitch receiver that will actually carry a LOT!!! Should you decided to get a bigger carrier or start pulling a trailer I believe you will have all the weight carrying ability you will ever want. :D :xszpv::xszpv:

Good to know thanks for the information. While replacing the airbags last spring I noticed while crawling around under it that the receiver-hitch assembly was very sturdy.

Good post if the OP owned a HD Lee.... :p :p

Heck it is still a good post anyway!! We have lots of members and one of the HD owners just may be in the market for a trailer hitch. :xszpv: :xszpv:

My whole point in the post was .... I couldn't build one for that price and perhaps the OP could modify it to fit.

You are right!! Singer, Pin, and Ball would eat up much of the selling price and the main receiver piece could be used for sure.. POINT TAKEN.. :clapping: :clapping:
