As a reminder, before ever buying a trike, get the VIN and be sure to enter it here (CARFAX).
In the last couple of months, there's been several trikes brought here for service/repair. Once the plastic is off, it becomes easy to see that the bike, now a trike, had been in a major wreck prior to becoming a trike. For example, plastic that is now painted a different color, damaged exhaust systems (headers and/or mufflers), damaged engine guards, cracked frames in the steering head race area, etc.
Usually dealers who buy wrecked Wings, sell them for less, and are resistant to "offering up" their VINS. There's lots of shady trike dealers all competing to sell for less. Often the cheapest way for them to do that is to start with a wrecked Wing.
