Lift Kit for TriGlide

I pulled the trigger and just upgraded my suspension to the 14" pro action and lift to go with it. Since I already had a lift installed I can not use it with the new setup. If anyone wants a Convertible Comfort lift from DK I will make you a great deal.

Interested in lift kit. PM me please

Lift Kit

I just installed my lift kit on my 2017 Tri. Follow directions and it was about an hour job there are some install pictures on this site along with the ones DK has posted. Doc

Going to install the DK lift kit next week. What pressures do you run in your tires? I do have the standard air shocks on my 2017, and my wife normally rides with me. Have you had to adjust the pressure on the shocks as well? I have been running 36/26 on my tires but I hear that tires should be adjusted after installing the lift kit. Appreciate your help.

Dave, we run 36 in the front and 22 in the rears with the lift kit. I might catch some flack for the the pressure in the rears but we've got almost 20,000 miles on them and they still look new, the trike rides great. As far as the shocks go, our combined weight is around 330 lbs, we run between 28-32 in the air shocks depending on how much "stuff" we're carrying on that particular day or trip. Hope that helps a little, good luck.

Lift Kit Combo en Route

I ordered the lift kit combo package from DK Customs. There was no way to test before purchase, but after reading the rave reviews, I pulled the trigger. It will be here next week and I will install it soon after. Meanwhile, I'm test riding a variety of roads for later comparison. I have noticed that the front end can plow around some curves, especially if the road is bumpy. Thanks to everyone who posted their reviews and comments. I'll soon add my review to the growing list.

As Zammy mentioned, 22 psi in the rear tires is good...I found myself running 20-21 in the rears. Still run OEM recommended up front. For the shocks, just a matter of experimenting to see what PSI gives the best ride quality.

Kevin, Well, my deal for the new TG fell through so I'm finally going to go with a new rear shock set up on my new (old) '14 TG. I'm going with the Pro Action 14" per your recommendation. I already have a lift kit installed so won't need that (or do I have to have your Comfort lift?). Heading over to your website to order and fill out form.

Do you still have the Trike Talk discount or ???

Lift Kit and shocks

What a world of differences it made. My 2014 trike road like it had no rebound at all.

No matter how much presser was lowered or raised. These OEM shocks suck! I installed a lift kit and Legend shocks. Now my gal loves to ride. Before nothing but back aches and complaints

My parts are in from DK Customs. That was very fast order processing and shipping. Daytime temps are still in the 30s here and it's snowing today. I've had a few rides this past week on the OEM shocks and I think the cold weather makes them feel even harder. No give whatsoever! The forecast for about a week out is in the 50s. That's when I'll do the install. Cowboy, your post gives me great hope that there will be noticeable improvement.

you will be very happy with these shocks. I had them on my 2018 and took them off when I traded to the 2019, now they are on the 2019

David I be leave any good grade of shocks with lift kit. Has to be better than OEM Harley's. You feel the difference right away. Better ride better steering all around. When I first road my trike in my opinion it road like crap. Front would shake at about 55 mph

back end hop every time we hit a bump. I check front tire and rears the front steering dampener all were fine. After changing shock's and adding the lift kit. Its like riding a different machine. I be leave you will enjoy the difference in the hole experience of your ride.

I installed my comfort lift combo about two weeks ago. I did not change the setup from what DK Customs had pre-set for me. The weather has been tricky, but I've been out for a few rides now. I rode around town, through the pot holes left by the snow plows. I rode over a few railroad crossings that are always a bitch. Then I rode out to Craters of the Moon (160 miles round trip). It was still a bit rough over the frost heaves and through the pot holes, but out on the open road it was great.

Today I pulled the wheels and backed off the pre-load by one turn and pushed the bumpers back up. Out for another ride and I'm still not using the full travel. Bumpers don't seem to have moved any more than previous rides. Before I make anymore adjustment to the pre-load I'll pack up my wife and give it another test ride.

On my next ride I backed out the freebleed by one click and that made a big difference. Much smoother now. No more adjustments until I go out fully loaded.

Also, when installing the shocks I could not fit the bottom shock bolt into the bracket when using the "full lift" holes. I had to use the "secondary lift" holes and the shock went on easily. A 13" shock would have gone in using the full lift. I still got almost an inch of lift.
