Yea I got my call tonight that the Detail shop said they should be working on my Stallion some time next week. YEA!!

I just got to get the shrink tubing work done and get it on the ground So they can do their work and then I can continue back on the mod’s.

These are the Pictures I gave to them on the minimum work that is to be done. They said they should be able to match the pic’s. We are going to talk on maybe just a little more touches.

Can you guess what my favorite color is?

Wow Ben! That is flashy and bright and cheery! No wonder you sound so excited! Nice!

Re: Stallion Detaling Work

Thanks Nana.
I have always loved Green and bright colors. I had been a certified motorcycle Instructor for over 40 years. I was world certified. I trained in Japan, Germany, Greece, Great Britan, Irelend, France, Spain, and Ukraine.
I use to train the California Highway Patrol on safety and trained them on high speed pursuits.
So I have always been a true beliver on bright contrasting colors. It is always best to be seen to not to have been seen at all.
If I saw someone chuckling over the bright clothing on how much I stood out. Then there was no doubt I was seen! One less person that I had to be concerned about not seeing me.
I have been trying to come up with something to accent the area over the wheel trying to break that up a bit. Everything I would impose on just didn’t hit the mark.
It was nice modifying the photo’s so I would now what it would look like before it is done and being to late to change something. The detail shop was amazed I did that so there was no question to what I wanted.
Any suggestions on what might look ok with the other detail work? I thought about a green stallion or 2 stallions facing each other.
I put swirls, a lazy S line, and an arch on there but it just didn’t flow right.
I would welcome any input or changes from you or anyone else before it gets in the shop next week.
I do love my green which after all the modification and add-ons you will see just how much. I think I should have named it Money Pit instead of Green Streak. LOL

Yep, major visibility! That's exactly what I was thinking as I looked at the photos--no way anyone is going to NOT see you coming, well, unless they just totally have their head up their a$$ anyway (or talking on the cell phone ).

Is that the actual shade of green that will be used? It's gorgeous! How long will that work take? Be sure to post some pix when it's all done.

Here's a cool looking stallion for you Ben!

That look great do you have the source link? The image is too small for me to be able to load up and capture just the stallion and change it to my green.

Ben, I will try to get you a better source link. It is the logo for the sports teams at my grandkids school here in town, where three of our girls also attended years ago. I love this particular stallion picture. In years past they let me use it to make things for the girls, but I don't have it any more. The one I need to get it from at the school is away until Monday, but I'll try then to get it and send it to you.

This one was pulled off the header on their web page, that is why it is so small.

Ben, check your email. I just sent you the logo in both JPG and PDF formats. Hope they are helpful to you!

Re: Stallion Detaling Work

Yes JUJU that will be the actual color. Florescent green. If that doesn’t help then all of the LED’s will just have to blind them.

I have several shirts like that and safety green. Even my boomer style jacket is safety green.

Nana I did get them thanks the wife isn’t too keen on putting images on the trike but we will just have to see. I thought about the back of the trike myself One of the grandsons wants it on the faring under the windshield.

Not sure how long they will have the trike. But I wont be rushing the job.

After it gets back then I can start on the exterior lights. I believe all of them are in unless I decide more, more. LOL

I will post pictures when I am done I will have to try short videos to show some of it.

Fortsand thanks for your input. They boxes to hold the switches I had sent from Germany will on fit in 2” deep so it looks like Mattel gets his wish drill baby drill. My teeth hurts just thanking about it.

It will take for ever before the button is pushed I will probably cross check my self 20 to 30 times before drilling. There will be 6 to 8 switches depend where I draw the line on the lighting.

I am thinking about some more lights but I will have to get everything on before I decide. Tired of it in the air on stands and not being able to ride.

I have put on the tail pipe change from Bazooka. Talk about a lot of planning it just amazing how easy it just bolted in place.

I still have to get the horns that Fortsand found.

I hope you all have a good weekend have to take the wife shopping tomorrow and have to pick the rest of the wood to finish the bedroom remodeling but the trike is in the higher pecking order as you can see..

In any other place, with any other bunch of women, that pecking order would constitute "fighting words." But I happen to BE one of the "Honeys" myself, and I have to agree that the trike should come first. :D

When we met. She would have grounded he 2 children if they even thought of betting on a bike. She only got on it because I was a world certified chief instructor.

But it only took once. With in 30 min being on the wing she calmed down and was hooked.

She knows how much bikes are to me. I can say she has never ever said no to the bike.

She gets spoiled in return so see is usually content 99% of the time. Both feel the same on the grandkids. We spoil them as much as we can. They visit often so projects get on hold a lot.

Right the big thing is paint ball, so of course everything is set up for working on the guns and the refilling station.

But that’s why I stay working for now, to spoil!!!!

Beno,
It looks very european. I think you need some black in there, maybe some black bars varing in size from wide to narrow in the long areas. I think that will give a better look. Even on the back, that will serve two purposes, one it will give you more contrast, but more important it will look better. Look at some of the police car paint jobs from Europe, that seems to be the direction this design is going. The other direction may be writting Prince on it and go with the Tennis concept! I think you may be on to something but you need to add some black. Good luck, I think this is more daring that drilling. So I guess you need to yell "Paint Baby Paint!!!!!!!"

If you have not painted it yet I would be happy to do some sketches for you of what I am talking about, but I cannot get to that until next week. Just let me know.

We went to Daytona Friday, first day of Bike Week, and had Mountainman add more detailing to "Big Yellow" and the trailer! Mountainman is set up at CycleWorld right by the Daytona Flea Market off I-95 and US 92. He will be in Kissimmee, FL for the GWRRA rally March 12-14th. He does great work!

Very nice Mikey. He did a really nice taper job there. The blending is very nice also.

MJ and I will be in Daytona on the 13th for some work on her Stallion at Libby and Russel's shop. They are going to replace the headlight and the volt/pressure gauges. The orginials were not weather tight. The newer headlights are also better. Should be an all day job. Ted

Gorgeous details on the Stallion, Mikey! I love the accent colors you chose. The trailer designs are like icing on the cake! Very nice.
