Making the Fat Bottom Girl an "AMG" Edition.

I have changed the name of this thread to make it a kind of "fixing" Fat bottom Girl Thread.

I called my local HD dealer and ordered the stud and another am/fm antenna. I'll pull the plug, screw in the stud and screw in the antenna, symmetry is important to me ... :D

Also swung by my local sign guy, he is making me the vinyl "Fat Bottom Girl" and "Body Piercing Saved My Life" thingies ... they will look like this (sort of)

Body Piercing.jpg

Since the "New" Fat bottom Girl is black with silver accent stripping, the blue will be a very close silver. I also had them make the FBG 1" instead of 1.5". I also changed the font to a more "classy looking" Script ... should look good.

Then I found this ...

FBG 4.29.jpg

It's an original collector pick from the FBG tour ... only $5 ... might Gorilla tape it next to the name ... we'll see.

Congrats on the new ride, I'm happy with one antenna, guess some people like to have two and I can see your point with two of them, but one works just fine with me.

All for now Trampas

Busy busy goodness it is still cold Fuzz relax it will be ready to go before Easter Ho... the excitement gotta love it I know I do and I'm 2,000 miles away... Mod safely :yahoo: Fred

Went to the VA today. One of the geezers, Bill, asked me what's new?

.

I told him I was heading to Ft Collins tomorrow to pic up a new to me trike. We spent about an hour talking about it and showing them the pictures. I felt like a new dad showing off the photo album. It was lots of fun.

After that, filled up the truck, hooked up the trailer, and loaded my suit case. (If I do that the night before,

Harley thinks I'm leaving, but, when i come right back he's okay. In the morning I'll just have the CPAP and the Almond Toffee I bought for the salesman and the owner. Like I said, they have been good to me, so it was worth the $80 to let them know I appreciate them.

Checked the weather report and the road conditions and all is good through Wednesday. I'm hoping to be home and have 100 miles on FBG by then .. :D .. This week is supposed to be sunny and 50's here so I plan to put some miles on it .. LOL

Jessica and I are alive ands well in Fort Collins.

Weather was awesome, roads were dry ... now comes the hard part ... waiting 16 hours :AGGHH:.

I stopped to look at the HD Dealer in Fredrick ... ya know ... just incase there might be something I couldn't live without. Alas .. almost every thing I wanted ... I had at home .. The sales manager saw me and came running out to say hey. High Country Harley is the place I bring a bike to do "big jobs" ... he actually remembered me. Haven't brought a bike there since like 2007 ... he was the assistant then. We yakked a bit, and I asked for a quote for a set of the Bat Wing Apes, 12", installed (not sure I want to tackle that ... too much "hunched over time" ... the windshield adjustment job kicked my b$tt, actually, my back. He said for me, about $800 ... that is with the wires inside the bars. Pretty good. He put me in the system as a quote, and said if I decide to do it, call him, he'll get the parts. I could ride over on a Friday, drop it off, pick it up Saturday, be home Sunday or Saturday if I wanted. He said he'd get me their corporate rate at a hotel about a mile away, pet friendly. He'd drive Harley and me to the hotel and pick us up. The hotel has several "walk up" restaurants that would work for Harley. He also said he could get me a corporate rate on rental car if I wanted it.

I'm thinking this might be my first Harley accompanied trip. Three hundred miles each way, with a nice area to roam around on Saturday. There is a lake/park about 200 yards from the Hotel. I stayed in this hotel when they did the 103 w/cams and Dyno on my 2007 ultra. There's lots to do with in walking distance. I dropped it off on Saturday early afternoon, rode home on Monday about 1pm. Their service and parts/clothes are open on Sunday, just can't buy a bike ... Blue Laws. They ask for volunteers for "big jobs". Since they have like 3 sets of mechanics, someone is always off and willing to make extra cash. The guy that did the 103 w/cams, Started around 2pm Saturday and finished before he left Sunday. The Dyno tech did his thing first thing Monday morning, 9am, they called me about 11:30, picked me up about noon. Between test ride, paperwork and paying, got on the road around 1pm. I got home around 7pm, but it was summer so, It was light until 9ish.

I don't remember if I mentioned the hotel I'm staying at is a "suites" or not, or that is right across the street from "Fuzzy Taco's". You know I had to try that. My Suite has a California King in the bedroom (not sure what that is, just what the paperwork says) with a 48" TV, a living room with a 44" TV, a kitchen with Coffee Pot, Microwave, refrigerator and a mini bar ... not gonna touch that bad boy .. LOL.

So I got here and turned the TV to watch the end of the Players. I parked right outside my window, literally looking at "Fuzzy Tacos".

After the golf, I went to dinner at Fuzzy Tacos (gotta love the name). Had a baja taco plate, two fish tacos, rice and beans. The tacos had feta cheese in them, really good. If you're into alcohol, they have a beerita. Basically they make a Margarita and put a beer of your choice bottle and all, upside down into it and it "mixes". Not my thing, but, there were lots of them on tables.

Anyway ... I am bidding my time until 8:30 in the morning. Any bets I'll be sitting there around 8:00 with Jessica off the trailer ... LOL.
