Has anyone put their new Harley trike (2017) with the 107 motor on a dyno. I would love to see the chart. prefer a stock bike run. I know what the motorcycles in 2017 dyno at stock. But some say that trike dyno's suffer more parasitic loss of power numbers than regular bike dynos. Maybe 7hp etc. I'd just like more proof..
Thanks to those that contribute here.

Man, I wish we had. Just a long series of events have prevented us so far.

I am hoping we will have some in Feb. sometime to post up.

There are a bunch of dyno charts of an air cooled M8 107 at this LINK

Here's just one of the many from the link above, showing stock and then with a 606 HiFlow air cleaner and a basic tune.

I posted some dyno results (the post titled "some kudos and info" by mike51 is on pg 2). I didnt post the actual chart but I a gave a description of the results. I have a fuel moto 110 kit and I get almost 124 ft lbs of torque on my 14 tri glide.

Thanks for the info. I am trying to post a dyno chart for my 2017 triglide. The build on the 107 is :

Jackpot 2-1-2 headpipe, Woods M8 222 cam, Dual Supertrapp mufflers with packing out and 7 discs. (closed end cap). Heavy breather.

Power vision tuner. I had the bike dyno'd twice at different places with very similar results.

I find that its still not enough power for me. Almost but not quite enough. So I am considering the Fuel Moto 124 kit and want to re-use everything else except maybe bigger injectors.

The trike dyno seems to read about 16% less than 2 wheel dynos. So if a kit can make about 135 tq or more on a two wheeler. That should

dyno out at about 116 TQ. If I get more that would be great.

Jamie, could you add some advice here ?

Would I be better with Woods new 22X cam ? Any advice will be much appreciated. Im pretty sure I am going to do something with the 124

but exactly how far I don't know yet.

Well I cant upload my chart. I need a six year old kid to help.

trike dyno chart results.

I can at least tell you what I got.

Peak power is 97.23 hp and max tq at 100.15.

Tq is 86 at 2500 rpm hitting max at 4200 -4700

Hp is 40 at 2500 rising to 97 where its meets the tq also at 97 (5250 rpm )

Tony, my Dad rides a Tri-Glide too. He is 92 years old and he says the same thing. He has ridden Harleys all his life, and he said that has been his complaint ever since he started riding in......1943.

That's just awesome. I'm 71 and still want more power too.

Harley Davidson ! "Take Note" . Us old Harley riders are alive and well.

has anyone dyno'd their trike build yet. The results are different than 2 wheeler dyno charts.

I've got 17 Freewheeler with the M8, wood 22x cam, heavy breather, PV tuner and CFR mufflers. Being a bit lighter bike than the triglide it does pretty well with this set up unless two up. I've been wanting to get it dyno'd but am seriously considering doing the stage 3 upgrade to a 114 first and will definitely need to dyno then.

I'm trying to educate myself as much as possible on all this and was wondering if you explain why there's a difference between a trike and 2 wheel dyno? I'm basing a fair amount of my decision on multiple dyno charts and this really caught my attention.

Thanks,

Ron

November 3rd my 17 Tri Glide goes in for a S&S 465 cam, lifters ,gutted head pipe,SE stage 1 air cleaner and a TTS tuner. My shop has a trike dyno and the dyno guy said to expect about 10 less on both torque and hp than a 2 wheeler due to parasitic drag,so it will be interesting to see the final numbers.I did see where S&S has come out with a 540 cam for 124 and 128 big bore kits, designed for low end to mid range.

I had a dyno guy try to tune mine its a 128 kit from fuel moto, fuel moto when I bought the parts said they would make me a tune , that was bullshit , dyno jet sent me a tune bike was not ride able, tried a few dyno guys, had one come out to me a week ago tried to tune my 2020 with the power vision and because of the rsds he could not tune it, he took off the power vision put on a power commander V it took about 2.5 hrs to do plus the cost of the power commander, it runs okay go really good under power , riding in traffic 30 - 50 mph its just bucks and lopes along, I think I found a shop upstate n y that can tune the power vision ? with the power commander it ended up being 132 ft of torque 118 hsp I think if I get somebody to tune it right with the power vision it will come up a little ? Its a blast to ride, in 6th gear 60 mph drop down to 5th blast the throttle and it goes .

My 2011 was dyno'd when I changed the engine to a SE 120 ST. We had to do it as the ECM was not working right with the larger injectors and throttle body. It was not running very good with the tune from the old 103. HP equaled 125 and TQ was 133 and the gas mileage got up to 37 mpg riding at a reasonable speed. I don't have any problem running away from the new trikes :)

Road Dog, does your PV also have the TT unit?

That's what I have on my 14 with a 117. Runs well even if not perfect.

I'm guessing it may Dyno at 120 tq/115 hp based on the numbers when it was a 110.

Yes I have target tune. a 2020 has that rdrs and anti lock brakes and what ever else , I can not find anybody to tune it with the power vision , I have a power commander v on it its okay but not wright . Had a shop upstate n y he backed out can not do it he said . On the throttle its great on the highway great around town its like it has 20 foot primary chain with 16 feet of slack in it . The dyno guy that put the power commander said it might be the woods 408 cam does not like low rpm ? Might change the cam to a redshift 472, take the big throttle body off and the fuel moto tripple xxx pipe I think the stock gutted head pipe will make as much power and not be as noisy as the fuel moto pipe ?

Try giving Brian at Twisted Cycles in Hooksett NH a call to see if he can help.
