Have you seen the GEICO motorcycle commercials?? Took this picture when we rode by on the way home from the Arizona trip. This place does really exist and is an operational restaurant. Serves breakfast and lunch. About 20 minutes from my house. Killer pancakes. Mostly locals and local bikers. Almost as rundown inside as outside, and a zillion years old. Called the Halfway House because Sierra Highway was the only route from Newhall to Lancaster way back when. Yes, it is Halfway! There was a gas station and garage next door.
