The TrikeTalk Northeast Rally 2016 will be held this coming year in historic Dover, New Hampshire, also known as The Garrison City, from August 14th-19th.

Settled in 1623, Dover is the oldest permanent settlement in New Hampshire, and the seventh oldest in the nation. Offering a wide range of history and culture to enjoy, the city is ranked one of the top 100 in the United States, and is one of the fastest growing cities in New Hampshire.

Located between mountains and seacoast, Dover is within an hour’s ride of many destinations, including Lake Winnepesaukee and the White Mountains. You’ll find many southern Maine and New Hampshire beaches are only 20 minutes from the host hotel, with Portsmouth and the seacoast only 15 minutes away. For those who like to shop, the famous Kittery Outlets are just beyond Portsmouth.

Our host hotel for the 2016 rally is the Dover Days Inn, situated in mid-town Dover. Conveniently located on Route 108, it’s easily reached from Exit 7 off the Spaulding Turnpike. We've locked in a group rate of $92.65 per night, double occupancy, but you must call to make reservations and mention you're with TrikeTalk. Further information can be found on the rally webpage.

With over 30 restaurants in the city offering almost any food you desire, the Days Inn is located within walking distance to over 20 of them – two are adjacent to the hotel! It’s also a short walk away from the Strand Theatre and Cochecho River Park, as well as many shops.

Some of the non-riding activities available in the area include whale watching, tall ship tours, the Thomas Leighton cruise to the Isle of Shoals, and deep sea fishing. Also nearby you can find Hampton Beach, Old Orchard Beach in Maine, and Kennebunkport, Maine (home to President Bush’s compound).

Please keep us in mind as you plan your 2016 vacation and travel plans – we’d love to have you join us!! Click here to go to the rally webpage and scroll down to registration link (PLEASE register each person individually).

And remember to check the rally page often, so you don’t miss any updates!

Thanks for posting Cheri! Question, both Days Inn and Rosy told me rally is from 8/14-8/19. Please verify. Thanks again, Leo

"Yes, reservations are from 14/19, 5 nights.
Rosy"

Sorry I guess we won't make it this year, too far to go on back roads, almost 5 hours and wife will not ride on highways. I go up that way to visit my niece in Portland and I hate the highways up that way. If I had a trailer to tow it maybe but I don't see that coming soon not enough of a need right now for one.

Thanks, Leo. His email to me obviously had a typo - all better now!! :)

Can't make again. Distance is too far. Sounds like a great time. Have fun. Really miss the good times. My American Legion Riders want to do a small rally down closer to this area someplace so I guess that is what I will be doing instead this year. I have to stay closer to home.

We will miss you guys, from your area. I am sure between Leo, me, and others, we should get some good pictures for you guys to enjoy.

Hi guys

I see the northeast gathering is in Dover this year , that is close , I hope to be able to make a day or two , but I would like to throw something out if it is ok . The ride up the coast is very nice , that is where the video [ are trikes a chick magnet ] was filmed . Hampton beach and Salisbury beach , we are 7 minutes away on Rt. 286 west , if the traffic is light . :clapping:We would like to offer a free pass or passes to mini golf & batting cages , to anyone from trike talk gathering if anyone would like to play , & If you twist my arm , I will throw a coffee in too .:Coffee:
Hope the weather is good , & everyone has a safe & wonderful time .

thank you , Reggie & Herman

Enjoyed the past two rally's but just can't make it to this one. Sounds like it will be a great. Have ridden many miles in that area should be a fun rally.

First Timers at a trike event

The wife and I are looking to go to this event... We have never been to a trike Gathering before.. New to triking looks to be interesting.. The drive is a short one only 5 hours..
The only thing is I pray for is nice weather... Every time we have been in that area of the North East it has been rain, rain, rain...See all....

Not to toot our horn in Dover about the weather, but it seems when it was raining inland the weather was good along the coast for a few of the Northeast Gatherings.
So, here is to great weather in Dover for our rally!

Thank you Herman and Reggie that is so nice of you.
Did you get my note, we were there this summer for my "free" coffee with my brother-in-law on our trikes, but you where both gone. Sorry we missed you!
See you soon! Maybe at the Snowbird Rally in Florida!
Rosy

I'm sure Cynthia and I will be going. Probably not for the whole week as I'm already taking the first week of August off from work. We will most likely stay at her uncle's place in York, Me. and commute from there. :pepper:

That will be great Brian. Save when ever you can, every penny helps in the long run! LOL
See you in Dover.
Rosy

Sounds like a great rally planned Cheri.......I wish I could attend but it is too far for me to travel solo (From Maryland) and no one from my area went last year either.......but I will look forward to following the fun on line. May even work up the courage to go solo by then...:)

Mary, talk to the guys that are coming up from the South, Florida, you maybe able to join their convoy as they head North.
But, if you join them, you will have the responsibility in trying to keep them out of trouble! LOL This could be a huge task!
I am sure Tom & Red will disagree!
What happen to the gang in your area?

Hi Mary, You are welcome to link up with Jeannette and me in NJ. Leo

We don't get in any trouble unless you are there!!! By the way, where do all the tolls kick in when traveling north?? When we came up before, we came up I 81 to avoid traffic and tolls which didn't take us thru Maryland but for a short stretch on 81. Not sure I would give up that route if I 95 will mean more traffic and outrageous tolls.

Tom

Mary, We could link up without you driving I-95 or the NJ Turnpike. You can take I-81, I-78 to I-287. We could meet you on I-287 somewhere. From there, we can drive with minimum tolls by taking I-87, I-84, I-91 and Route 9 into Dover. Route 9 is a nice road. May not be the shortest route, but it stays away from the coast and Boston.
