The B.E.A.R.D. Room

I started growing mine because of a beard growing contest out in Tombstone Arizona. I did good to stay out of last place. Some people can grow one in a week. Took me years to get the shabby thing I have now. What most don't realize is it's not a lazy thing to grow one. It does take some care. Add to it, I shave my head. So my grooming takes much longer than guys that shave their face and comb their hair. Now with newer clippers that have different length you can keep one I assume that makes it easier. I'm well past that phase so have no idea.

Okay...it's been right at a week since I started the use of Rogue Beard Oil. Was given a sign it was working today. I forgot to put it on after I got out of the shower this morning and we went on a trip out of town for a few hours. My beard itched me to death all day long!!

Couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Then it hit me that I hadn't put in the beard oil. As soon as I got home, in it went and the itching subsided. Then of course after I took a shower tonight before I came to work, I put it in again. No itching as of this writing.

Looks like this stuff has a purpose in my life now.

Have done a little change up in beard hygiene. Instead of washing it with the same soap I use to wash the rest of my face while in the shower, I now use shampoo. As someone else here on the thread said, I also use my wife's conditioner.

Then when I get out of the shower, I use the beard oil as the last thing. My beard feels much softer now. And my wife isn't complaining. That's a win in my book!

My beard is finally starting to get a little bushy. I'm going to try to let it grow through my annual training week (Feb 27 through March 3rd). If I don't make eye contact with the wife very often, I might get away with it.

I finally figured out about posting a pic.
