Am I nuts????

Fuzz, we all get to the age of 'three wheels', if you can work this out with your Harley guy, go for it, you will be in your comfort zone, and there's nothing wrong with that. There are some out there that think 3 wheels takes away the 'manhood appearance' thing, it does not, it keeps you riding.

Bill

Thanks for the encouragement ... we'll see how it works out ... I'm good either way.

Alan I pray the leak down test works out on the Triglide you will be so relaxed on the three wheels. I know once I realized about the weight and picked a dresser of the jiffy stand I needed to reconsider riding one. Travel safe and do what is in your heart. :Coffee:Fred

Thanks Fred ... you have hit the nail on the head so to speak ... Physically, I'm able to ride Jessica just fine.

The moment I finished putting stuff on Jessica and Had her where I wanted her, I started the "wanderlust feelings" again. I have truly not been happy with any of the bikes I've had since I lost the 15 Tri in the bankruptcy.

They were all capable of performing like I wanted them to. Doing meandering rides, calming the soul, etc. But, just like the BMW, which in my opinion was one of the best touring bikes I've ever owned, and I believe it would have made a great trike, it just never spoke to my heart.

Harley Quinn was close, she was comfortable, but really loud. And after lots pf soul searching, I realize she was short a wheel.

I've put this thing in God's hands and will accept His plan. Kind of like Doris Day's song .. "What will be, will be."

The dealer said his mechanic would probably get to the leak down test today, so we'll see. Even then, if it passes, weather in the mountains is looking grim for the next few days, then a break for a couple and back to gloomy for a week. Might not be able to get there before the end of the month. Dealer is okay with that, like i said, he's been good to me.

So we will see what the leak down test determines and go from there. The rest seems to be on track. The sales manager agreed to splitting the cost of a warranty, he just needs to clear it with the owner .. shouldn't be a problem.

Just got a text from the dealer ... they are sending their staff home due to severe winter weather ... the leak test won't happen until tomorrow ... so ... apparently God hasn't decided yet ... :D ... Just kidding ... If they are getting that kind of weather ... guessing I couldn't get over the mountains with a trailer on a bet ... so no biggie.

That same storm is coming through Missouri with 50-60mph winds & rain, luckily no snow.:)

Good luck with the Tri-glide colonoscopy. ;)

Fort Collins where the dealer is had 60-65 mph winds ... lots of snow ... the passes are looking bad until at least until 3/27, as far as the weather guessers will predict.

The leak down will give me a "feel" for if it has been overheated, which on the air cooled it a bad thing (thanks Kevin for the advice).

I'm guessing the Tri i8s fine, but, it can your pretty good and not pass the leak test, so who knows. I'll probably have to wait a bit for weather, but, that's okay. Give me time to strip Jessica.

I am very happy for you my friend. After the knees you are “Sound of body” and with the wind in your face on three so will be the soul! I truly believe it is so…..

I to believe Doris’ song is right

Fuzz....Just buy the Trike.....You know you are trying to talk yourself into it....:D...

I'm already there if it passes the leak down ... I don't want a lemon ... hoping this is my forever trike ... might have to get it painted sometime down the road. I'm thinking white with a hint of black cherry pearl ... :D or maybe a hint of orange pearl

Fort Collins had lots of snow and 65-70 mph winds today, they sent everyone home before it got real bad. I'm guessing tomorrow, or the next day. Not in a big rush, looks like the mountains will be treacherous for the next week or so. Couple that with my knee therapy and finger therapy appointments, I probably won't pick it up until the end of the month assuming it passes.

I have postponed my Mesquite trip because the Occupational therapist wants to see me next week for some finger therapy. Always something. And, if there is a break in the weather, want to be able to get the Tri as soon as I can. As most of you guys know ... patience may be a virtue ... but not Alan's ... LOL.

Actually ... I get freebie health care ... the VA, with medicare backup ... I'm very fortunate in that regard ... here in Happy Valley (That's what we lovingly call Grand Junction) we have one of the best VA's in the country.

Having said that ... LOL ... I saw the occupational therapist for a couple minutes while waiting for my knee therapy on Tuesday. I told her it appears to be spreading to my right pointer. Got a couple of "zingers' in that finger while picking stuff up. She said it could actually be Corporal Tunnel, going in the 25th for some more tests.

Told her I didn't think it was corporal tunnel, I was in the Navy.
