Welcome to Trike Talk Mark. Have you tried lower rear tire PSI @ 22-24 PSI? It makes for a better ride

You are in the same boat as I am. Either put up with it or spend big bucks for shocks. Sad to pay big dollars for a bike then have to invest a ton of money.

https://pro-action.com/splash.html I have had their 13" on my 16 & now their 14" & frt fork suspension on our 2020. On a 5200 mile ride now & have been on washboard, gravel & lumpy roads. Great ride. Would not have bought from them again if the first trike didn't ride well. Can't say enough Good about his product. We put over 45000 miles on the first trike & that suspension,

Jethro, air ride suspension is tricky. I ran 3 different setups when I had a bagger. You really have to play with the air pressure. The only one that really worked for me was the Platinum Air Ride which had rebound control.

Started with an Arnott system and it was a buckboard. Changed out just the shocks for Munroes and it was a little better. Platinum did work.

Mark everyones tolerances are not the same ....I had three Tri-Glides and i never felt i had to change shocks...I had a Slingshot and the ride was so bad i changed the shocks to make it at least tolerable.....With a three wheel vehicle you'll never get a Cadillac ride..

I realized that in 2008 when i got my first street trike my two wheelers were smooth as silk compared to trikes.....I didn't give up Two wheelers till 2017...

Thanks,,,i have heard good things about pro-action,,,,,just would like to be sure before i drop $850,,,,,,do you think the rear shocks alone would solve most of my problem??,,,Thanks

Thanks for the come back,,,,,considering trying pro-action shocks but wanted some input before dropping $850,,,,,turned 70 this year and decided to go 3 wheels,,,,(tired legs),,,,,,,now i need the ride,,,,

Bought my 2019 new, and hated the factory shocks. Could NOT get a good ride. I had already purchased a set of Legends for my trade in, but they needed a mod to fit the new trike. Before I went down that road, I called DK Customs and talked with them about the comfort lift and the 14” pro actions. They gave a pretty convincing explanation, so I watched their videos.

I went ahead with the 14” PA and comfort lift kit. My son installed (he’s my mechanic :D) and we took off from VA to Daytona Bike week the following day, using all back roads.

I could not imagine making that trip without those PA shocks. So smooth, of course taking into account each road surface. Have never looked back since. I do no regret the purchase one bit. Have about 4000 miles on them, rode 1000 before the purchase.

My my son got the legends for his street glide and loves them. As DK explained they’re made for two wheelers.

Jump on them, you’ll not regret it.

I am 76 this year & do 10k to 15k a season. No problems.

Welcome aboard, Mark!

I have the 14" kit from DK and it made a big improvement for me. Money well spent. I could never get the air shocks dialed in, especially 2 up. I answered DK's list of questions and I have not had to change anything from what they set up for me.

Do yourself a great favor purchase. Pro Action I could not believe how much they improved my ride. THE Bride even says it was Harley money's well spent, a fantastic ride now and if want to get rid of the nose dives Pro Action also makes a fork upgrade as well turned old Shiney into a sport Trike well at least I think so. Ride safe Fred

Welcome to the forum!

You do not need to spend that much to get a greatly improved ride.

The 13" Twin Adjustable shocks with the Convertible Comfort Lift™ give a very good ride...just as good as the more expensive 13" Pro Action shocks.

You can see them at this LINK

The 14" Trike Series Shocks that DK Custom co-developed with PA give an even plusher ride, especially if you are looking at over 450 lbs combined rider/passenger/luggage weight. But they are more expensive. You can see the package at this LINK.

Here is a LINK to a report on Rear Suspension Testing that you may find useful.

Thanks for the come back,,,,,,,,did you do anything to your front forks,,,,,,

Thanks for the come back,,,,,,,,did you do anything to your front forks,,,,,,

I have run a variety of different front forks on my Tri Glides. The best were the AK-20's, but they are very expensive. A close second (at half the price) are the FST's, but the FST's will not fit a 2012 TG. Right behind the FST's are the Performance Springs paired with the Intiminator valves, and they are even less expensive.

I am currently testing a fork kit in my 2019 Tri Glide. First impressions were very good, however, after a few weeks of riding, with some moderately rough roads, they have a very irritating clanking noise. The developer of this fork kit has them in his Tri Glide also and he has the same clanking. As of yet there are no solutions.

Here is a LINK to a front suspension report, with comparisons of different forks, that you may find useful.
