Good morning. My 2021 Tri Glide is getting ready for its 1k mile service. I was wondering how this model year has been for other owners.

I have 2 additional issues that I will be asking them to look at. The first one being the button on the trunk. When I push it in to open, it stays "stuck" for about 5 minutes. This means I cannot close the trunk door until it has popped back out. The second issue I noticed about a week ago. There is a slow leak/drip from the primary chaincase drain plug. I put a torque wrench on it and made sure it was tight enough, but the drip keeps happening.

And one slightly funny story. I parked my trike in our downtown area and decided to lock the forks. When I got back I could not get them to unlock! It had to look like I was trying to steal the thing. I finally called a friend that works at a HD parts counter and he reminded me to make sure the handlebars were all the way turned to the left. It was just a small movement and the forks unlocked as expected.

Just curious how the 2021 model is treating everyone else.

Way back when..2011 i locked my forks, Same - Same with the forks..With a little cursing and a lot of muscling i freed them....That was the last time i ever locked the forks on any of my [3] Tri-Glides...

The only problem I have had with my 2021 was the right muffler kept slipping back off the exhaust pipe. Repositioning the clamp fixed it. Very trouble free at the moment.

No real problems

I have about 2,400 miles on mine right now. For my 1k service I had them fix the 12v receptacle in the fairing and that was it besides the service itself. I have added a few things, some of which I strongly feel should have been standard but other than that I'm a proud and happy owner.

Had this happen on a trip w my 2019.

Some lock graphite (I got the kind in a spray can) from a hardware store solved the problem very quickly.....

I now get a nice "click" when the trunk latches.....

Got ours June 4th...had the 1k done on 6/17/21. Have over 3k on it now 7/26. The trunk lock was a little sticky, but some graphite seems to have taken care of it.

Only mods have been Custom Dynamic lights front and rear.

So far, very happy... M8 engine is an improvement over the TC103; suspension is an improvement over the air shocks; and the entertainment system is a definite upgrade.

Never had a problem with the hydraulic clutch, and not enough time to know about the cable clutch...miss the closeable windshield vent...and the front fender light...and the rear shift lever. But, these are all fixable...aftermarket or HD.

Thanks for the tips on the trunk lock. And I'm glad to hear everyone is enjoying their 2021 model. I'm very happy with the purchase and enjoying it every chance I get!

Snake Venom 2021

Bought mine March 3rd . Despite daily rains and now extreme heat warnings , I've managed to put 3295.0 miles on mine.

So far I've changed all lights to Custom Dynamics LED and added the vent trim with light on the fairing, the trim with lights across the top the fairing and the additional lights that go on the bottom of the rear fenders . All rear lights run through magic strobes flasher for extra attention. I've also changed out to a hammock seat, added the legends lift kit, changed to a Freedom Touring 12 in windshield, added the v twin goodies rider floorboard extensions, the DK 1.5 tank lift kit, the DK cooling wings, the HD rear bumper with the Kuryakyn bracket covers and Khrome Werks mufflers with performer baffles.

Most of what I did was for my comfort , but the headlight/passing lamps change was, for me , a requirement since the stock headlight was terrible. With the LED I can see five times further. The trike suspension is terrible, to me, thus the Hammock seat and lift kit, new shocks are next in order as LA and New Orleans streets are terrible and the SO rode on the back the other night for the first time and complained about how terrible the ride is. I already knew new shocks were coming but now they are a priority. The floorboard extensions were a great addition as my feet are now using the whole floor board not just half of it.

Engine heat and the primary drip are also an issue that will be addressed soon.

I'm also planning an upgraded sound system,; at 80-90 mph the stock system gets drowned out by road noise. Also i love the painted inner fairings and will have that done along with a more comfortable set of handlebars as soon as possible.

Once out of warranty a camchest kit with torque cam and tune will be added. but that time isn't here yet.

Overall I'm loving the trike and can't wait to actually do a long haul on her.

New Shocks for new CVO

Had Legends REVO-A shocks installed on the rear of my new 21 CVO. The ride change is dramatic. I’ve had them on my past Tri Glide Ultra. They make the ride so much better. The dealer only charged me $75 to install. I be happy.

Beautiful trike. What size shocks? std or heavy duty springs?

ocbray, same color as mine.

Had the 1k service done yesterday. The leak was coming from the primary vent. He told me it was not installed correctly. Hopefully it's correct now.

Lovin' It!

Didn't get my 2021 until a week before we were to leave for our annual summer touring ride.

Did the down and dirty break-in, packed it up, and hit the road.

Rode the Tail of the Dragon, the Smoky Mountains, and part of the Great River Road - fantastic ride!

Got her back after 3600 miles - did an oil change (oil looked good).

Clutch was way out of adjustment - could never find neutral and at full handle lock the trike would still creep forward.

Had to replace her overpriced ($600) headlight - rock hit it and spider webbed the darn thing.

Back wheels were still torqued at 100 lbs.

Front tire had minimum wear.

Other than that it rode absolutely fantastic! No problems (knock on wood).

Plenty of power (much more than my 2013). Suspension was liveable.

Took the Dragon curves like it was on RR tracks (glued to the road).

Satellite radio was a Godsend. GPS worked perfect, well, most of the time anyway.

Only "complaint" if I had to have one would be that I wish it had a 5.5 gear (sometimes 5 was not enough and 6 too much).

I'm really lovin' this trike! It was well worth the upgrade from my 2013.

Garage door opener

Wife’s 2021 CVO trike came with a HD garage door opener. I’ve followed the instructions and the receiver (shows red led light) does not appear to be picking up the signal from the transmitter (bike).

I’ve heard that the HD unit will not work on the Liftmaster garage doors.

Anybody had an issue……. suggestions?

Pete. :Coffee:
