3 corners plus hawaii trip

Last year about this time I started a 4 Corners Trip and got the Key West leg done before a medical problem forced me back home. I was in Wichita Falls, TX when I turned back.

I started the trip up again this past Saturday with the first stop in Asheville, NC. Sunday AM found me riding The Tail of the Dragon and after a few more stops I spent the night in Somerset, KY. Monday I rode on into Hopinskille, KY where I left this AM about 1000.

Now outside of Nashville where I'll pickup I-65 and follow it into Tuscaloosa where I'll grab I-20 and head west for the next two day - ending up on the west side of San Antonio, TX where I'll stop (Bandera).

Will be posting remainder of the scheduled route tonight. But if you see a black 750 Shadow trike with a little white Lil Cargo trailer feel free to join in.

Lucky- Flew by Tuscaloosa this afternoon. Glad I wasn't heading North 'cause from the by-pass on the south side back 10 miles down the road it was backed up. Looked like they were working on the overpass.

BG-Dream on. No way I'll be back in NC by then; especiallly if I can grab a military hop out to Hawaii for a couple of days. Besides-I was through MV on Saturday and it was just like it was the last time I was.

While you all are in MV check the leather vests at Leatherman. Had the lightweight ones for $29.95 with about 10 patches already sewn. A steal since patches alone were worth more than the vest and that's not counting if you had paid to have them sewn on.

Schedule tomorrow is Meridan, MS to Shreveport, LA and left on US-79 towards Austin.
Did 468 Miles today and a total of 1412 since Saturday

You're gonna maybe hit some rain in the Austin area . . . we got some drips tonight with more scheduled for tomorrow - a 50% chance. Probably won't last too long, tho. Safe ride!!

Calman, it was great meeting you last year when you came by my shop. Your touring on a Honda 750 Shadow sure does a lot to disprove the belief that the 750-800cc trikes aren't capable of distance travel. Kudos to you buddy! Please take and post some pictures of your travels. ThumbUp

I got photos, etc., but right now I got a wet ride. Got caught 4 miles out of Lindale TX in the thunderstorm BG forecasted. Fortunately, I had put the raingear on 50 miles earlier.

The 750 is purring right on down the road. 60-65-70 MPH makes no matter and I still have throttle left. Could be that I did the 4 degree MOD over on the shadowaero750.com forum. And, I'm pulling my Lil' Cargo trailer.

Been on the road since 0950 LAST Saturday. Pulled into Las Vegas early this evening and will be visiting old friends over the next couple of days. When I leave out here on Monday I'm headed to San Ysidro. Done a tad bit over 2,700 miles so far.

Discovered second day out that Wally World's Produce Market has a complete salad kit for $3.00. Depending on where you're at it can be Chicken, Chicken Ceasar, Santa Fe, Cobb. One of those and an apple makes for a healthy lunch that the ol' doctor would approve. And they are tasty and filling.
